Whirling so that the black pulsating shield came around first, followed by the luminous war sword, which ripped through the air. Ionizing the air, trailing a plasma stream behind it.

We are being pulled away from one another, we can strike at one another albeit briefly then rely on ranged as we are going separate ways. 

Speedwise we are not far apart, once I get moving it will only be about 270 miles per hour, slightly faster than you. Initially, I am probably accelerating at close to 100 mph in this movement allowing use to exchange blows  before our combined speeds pull us apart.
