[b]Personality Traits:[/b]

As a child, Lampwick, or Lock as he was known as, was a wild and reckless thing, never fully thinking things through and simply taking him where the enforced wind blew. He loved being large and in charge, and got upset when others insulted him or took the lead from him. However, he went along with others' ideas if he couldn't come up with anything himself. By far, Lock was the most violent and malicious of the group, making him the most dangerous of the three.

As a teenage boy, the newly reformed Lampwick, in terms of personality, was a total delinquent. He fully enjoyed the events in Pleasure Island and gladly took part of all of it, declaring himself a leader of a band of troubled boys. He was respectful towards Pinocchio, acting as his friend but to anyone else, rather disrespectful. He laughed at all forms of authority, preferring to engage in more crooked activities like drinking and vandalizing even when Pinocchio tried (at first) to tell him that it was wrong. He was considered a jock in his years at Pleasure Island, learning the game of pool quickly but more than that, how to swindle. From this, Lampwick learned how to become a smooth-talker to get what he wanted instead of using brute force, black-mail and trickery like Oogie Boogie taught him, though he still held onto those methods depending on any given situation.

There seemed to be a slight shift in character, however, when Lampwick and Pinocchio were turned into donkeys and boarded onto a cargo ship. When Lampwick saw that Pinocchio had jumped (for reasons unknown to him) Lampwick jumped after him - perhaps an act of love towards his friend or perhaps something selfless as Pinocchio finding a way out and Lampwick wanting to take the credit for it. Little is known about Lampwick's motivation, but the boys were indeed separated and Lampwick never saw his friend again... and became a ghost to Fairy Tale Land.

However, there have been rumors of an older, cold-hearted, cynical male with flaming red hair that continues to look for the puppet, but no one has heard the name Lampwick for many, many years. It is assumed that like he did with Lock, Lampwick shed himself from the identity and created a new one. To become a new man.

Lampwick does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, Lampwick can be made to work together with others only by force, striving for leadership and aiming to become the true leader by toppling or assassinating him. Lampwick is sometimes called demonic (going back to his 'little devil' roots in Halloween Town) because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Lampwick is notorious for combining his self-interest and want for pure freedom. However,  he also represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but also of the order on which beauty and life depend on.

[b]Skills:[/b]

Lampwick is a smooth-talking, persuasive individual that could sell a man his own tie and reap the benefits of his profits. Whist lying, he is very believable in everything he talks about and his acting skills, honed through his years at Pleasure Island, are nearly unmatched to anyone he has ever had to encounter. He is able to take a group of chaotic, weak people and turn them into the perfect little 'doers', spreading chaos around for Lampwick to enjoy as he sits back and watches.

Aside from his hard-learned gift of a silver tongue, Lampwick is also very athletic though his stamina is low from all the smoking, drinking and drugs he does. He is quick on his feet, can jump over high obstacles and is a natural learner when it comes to playing sports. Though, he prefers easy-to-rig games such as pool or darts than the more physically demanding ones.

[b]Biography (Before Earth):[/b]

Unbeknownst to even Lampwick himself, Lock, as he was so named as a child, was born on Earth into a very negligent family. As fate had it one afternoon, Lock, at the age of three, wandered out on his own while the family was on a camping trip and came to a clearing where he found trees. Trees with doors. Still very small and unable to understand the obscurity of what he was seeing, Lock picked a door at random and fell through the hollow of the tree... landing him in Halloween Town.

Found by Jack Skellington, Lock was placed into Halloween Town's orphanage where Lock quickly formed a tight bond between two other children just a little younger than him. Assuming the leader position, Lock devised a plan to leave the orphanage when he was only four years old, having Shock and Barrel do his dirty work while he took credit for the results. Now on their own, they quickly realized that the real-world, or at least, Halloween Town, was a lot different than they had expected. Shock and Barrel were ready to go back to the orphanage where they could be taken care of, but Lock stood firm and refused to let them go back. It seemed as though the trio would finally come to an impasse, splitting them up when Oogie Boogie snatched them up for his own selfish use. Thus, the terrible trio was formed and given masks to showcase their 'inner-selves.'

For the next two years, Lock, Shock and Barrel did Oogie Boogie's bidding though they were given free range themselves to do as they pleased. The freedom was exhilarating, and while still being taken care of, the young children became hardened, cynical, and full of mischief towards the other citizens of Halloween Town, reveling in giving others a hard time. Their reputation spread. They made many enemies. But no one wanted to revile against a handful of children in masks who simply 'didn't know any better' which made them the perfect weapons for Oogie Boogie.

Then, one day, Shock and Barrel went missing. Not even Oogie Boogie knew where they went, which created a terrible sense of paranoia within Lock. He hadn't ever had to be on his own before, he always had (what he called) friends there to be by his side no matter what sort of situation they got in. Lock even went to the Mayor and Jack Skellington, but no one seemed to know where Shock and Barrel had gone. So Lock ventured out, determined to find his friends which led him to the circle of tree doors. He examined them carefully, finding one that stuck out to him in a peculiar way (the door which lead to the very land he had been born into) but Lock pushed forward, finding a single tree far away that held a single door. Following his gut, Lock opened the door and fell through the tree hollow which then took him to a land unlike any other. Fairy Tale Land.

Before Lock even knew what was happening, a wagon filled to the brim with laughing and playing children caught his attention - a sign on the side reading "Pleasure Island" catching his attention (more the picture than the words he couldn't read) and knew that if Shock and Barrel were in this land, that's where they would end up. He jumped onto the wagon, keeping his mask on and began a journey that would forever change his life.

At first, Lock was all business and no play. He spent every moment he had looking for Shock and Barrel but as the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, and the months into years, Lock slowly began to adapt to the new lifestyle of pleasure island. He had even created his own band of followers to do just what Shock and Barrel had done for him, and with that he one day realized, he no longer needed them. Upon the realization, Lock shed his [url=http://www.hakes.com/product_images/14/123771/004_big.jpg]devil-faced mask[/url] and tossed it to the side with indifference, for here he would start a new life... as a new person. Lock was dead. And Lampwick the Trickster was born.

Over the course of another few years, Lampwick came across a wooden boy, just as real as the freckles on Lampwick's face. The boy was innocent, naive, the perfect type of boy he could use to turn into what he wanted him to be in his band of misbehaved boys. Lampwick spent a lot of time with Pinocchio, showing him just how great Pleasure Island could be. That is, until a new ride came to their little haven and Lampwick, being the first to try it out, had another life-changing event when on the ride found himself no longer to be a fourteen-year-old boy, but a donkey.

Lampwick never saw Pinocchio after that, though when he jumped the ship after his wooden-puppet-turned-donkey friend, the curse of the donkey wore off and he was washed ashore. Once more, Lampwick sought himself out on a quest; to find Pinocchio who was beginning to get under Lampwick's skin again, teaching him what having a true friend really meant.

Now, even years later, it can only be assumed that Lampwick is still looking for his puppet friend, but no one has seen him or even heard the name Lampwick used in almost five years.

Lampwick was born on Earth, though he has no memory of it and doesn't particularly know of it's existence.
