He feels her grow heavy, as if she were made of lead. Soon he drops her into the stretched out arms of Burt, who pulls her back.
"You talk a big talk, but you would send her off to those horrible orphanages. I mean I have seen many a poor child harmed in those places......I wish to make sure as many get good homes as possible." He says, looking a bit cross.
