Luca Warren - Raven Queen's Attendant
Location: Actium Luca dug his nails into the palm of his free hand, steeling himself. Despite Pyria's wailing yell, he managed to not even turn his head to look back or stop in his tracks. It seemed cold, even to him, but he reminded himself that his chosen path belonged to the Goddess of Winter and none other. Both he and Snow continued on, apparently uncaring. He only made it a handful of paces before he ended up turning back anyway. Who would not, considering the circumstances? The little girl was now far from little, revealing her true Draconic nature. Stunned, Luca let Snow's reins fall from his hand and only managed to keep hold of his staff because it fell against his shoulder. The horse reared and bolted, narrowly missing him. It soon dawned on him that he had made a grave mistake, and endangered the lives of everyone in the town at the very least. The red dragon was a bit larger than the mare he rode, but still certainly a threat to be taken seriously. Sending a silent prayer to the Raven Queen for strength, he clasped his hands together and started chanting under his breath. Luca didn't intend to lash out at Pyria, but neither did he plan to let her strike at him unanswered. Those near him would note the gradual shift of his eye color from gray to ice blue, and the fact that another voice seemed to be layered over his own. His eyes followed the dragon as it took off, losing focus of everyone else around him. As the chanting continued, it grew in strength and speed and the air around the priest grew heavy and cold with magic. For a second, a peal of thunder drowned out Luca's voice and a flash of lightning lit the sky in the distance. The storm had finally come, and it was beginning to rain. It struck him as rather appropriate.
