Jarvoff
Jarv gasped as Red knocked the wind out of him. Definitely not a dream. He suddenly realized he’d made a bit of an ass of himself, and spread his hands placatingly. “Hey bud, sorry about that, Red was it? I was just testing something. You know how you can never throw a punch in a dream? It always feels like your arm’s moving through water. Or when you’re running, like you’re running through quicksand. I’m about 80% sure this isn’t a dream.” Secretly Jarv was thinking it was a virtual reality experience of some kind, and the two he were talking to were probably simulated. He’d probably been involved in some kind of VR experiment, somehow, and something had gone wrong. It was likely just him though; it seemed pretty unlikely that a bunch of other people had also been involved in the incident. He turned to the woman, “I didn’t catch your name. I’m Jarv, and no more trouble, I promise,” he said as he extended a greeting hand.
