Alexandra blinked, looking up at the young man addressing her. "Oh, uh... a bit..." she muttered. She thought of excusing herself, but remembered that these people were pretty much her classmates now. She'd have to learn to talk to them sometime, and at least this one wasn't threatening. She still looked a little uncomfortable speaking to someone. "I've never seen anything like that,and I'm just kind of trying to figure out why everyone is acting like this is freaking [i]normal.[/i]"

"Maybe everyone else knew what they were coming into when they got here, but I didn't. This was something my - " she stopped, deciding not to disclose anything too personal yet, "I was sent here under the premise of a scholarship, but I wasn't given any details. I only took it because my grades aren't really scholarship-earners." she explained.
