Tessa Baudelaire Location: Transfiguration [@Dirty Pretty Lies]
Tessa spent the first week of classes pondering what was dangerous in the ruins of Hogwarts. Her thirst for adventure was creeping up, but she knew she couldn't explore. It was dangerous and she wasn't going to risk anyone's life so she could see what was there. She sighed and looked down. The Sorting Hat telling her she would do well in Gryffindor kept replaying in her mind, though she ignored it. TJ enjoyed being in Slytherin and wouldn't have had it another way. Still.... She sighed, shaking her head, and bit her lip. It was easy to imagine what it would be like if she were in Gryffindor instead. It would be different and perhaps she might have some more friends than she did in Slytherin. Though, she did have more friends in other houses, and appreciated them. She brightened and pushed the thoughts away. It wouldn't bode well to think of 'what-if's. As she strode down the hallway, she could hear students chatting excitedly for the upcoming dance. Tessa wondered if anyone would ask her - and who would, if any. She was hoping Simon would ask her, though she could tell it wasn't easy for him to do so if he wanted to ask. Despite the personality he displayed, she knew he wasn't all bad. Tessa rather enjoyed his company and was sad to know he was in his seventh year. It would be lonely without him. TJ looked out the window and told herself if nobody asked, that she would, and if nothing else, she'd go alone. She wouldn't miss out on the opportunity to have fun, regardless if she had a date or not. Tessa entered Transfiguration for sixth years and it was with Gryffindor's. She sat near the back and noticed that she sat a seat away from Demetria. She set her backpack down and took out her Transfiguration book. Then, once settled, Tessa faced Demetria and smiled. "Hey Demetria, how are you?" Being friendly towards others she wasn't' close with took a lot of her, but she told herself she needed to try harder in that aspect. "Are you excited for Quidditch? I absolutely love playing Gryffindor's team." Tessa smiled and then waited a response, angling her body to face Demetria's, though keeping her gaze fixated on the window. She wanted to be outdoors in the worst way and was trying not to go crazy in being cooped up in classes inside. At least, she told herself, it was one of her favorite classes.
