Turn 1: Akemi Akemi 4000 LP, 5 cards in Hand Maisy 4000 LP, 5 cards in Hand "Alright, well, based on this hand I'm not sure you're gonna see many ninja tricks." The girl shrugged, cards held tightly in her right hand. "No matter, I'm still gonna try hard. First, I set one monster face down aaand another card down. That's pretty much it, to be honest." She stared at the two cards; they were in a line on a field, both face down. Turn 2: Maisy Akemi 4000 LP, 3 cards in Hand, Two on Field Maisy 4000 LP, 6 cards in Hand Maisy hummed to herself as she looked over her options, adjusting her cap before saying: "I think I'm going to do the same. One monster set, and one face-down." before placing a monster down along with a card in the S/T zone. "Man...I hate slow starts..." she complains, raring to get going and see some nifty ninja moves. Turn 3: Akemi Akemi 4000 LP, 4 cards in Hand, Two on Field Maisy 4000 LP, 4 cards in Hand, Two on Field Drawing her card, Akemi looked at it with an inquisitive face; could she make something of this? Maybe. "Alllright..." It took her a while to think, but she had finally thought of a plan. "I activate Sylvan Blessing, placing my Flowerknight on top of my deck and special summoning Sylvan Hermitree in attack position! Next, I activate his effect to send the same Flowerknight from the top of my deck to the grave, meaning three things happen. First, because of Hermitree, I get to draw a card, then because a Sylvan monster was sent to the grave outside of battle, I can summon Sagequoia and finally, due to how Flowerknight was excavated to the grave, I get to place one Sylvan card from my deck and place it on top!" Maisy stared blankly as the two massive megalith trees emerged, knees shaking a little. "That is a LOT of attack points!" "I know, I mean, I'm only halfway through my turn, plus I haven't even normal summoned yet. I mean, I'm not even sure if I'm gonna." The ninja bit her lip a little, this all seemed a little... excessive for a friendly match. Maisy shuddered a little. This was getting out of hand. It was turn 3 and she'd already lost any sort of even ground with Akemi. At this point she was looking at 2, maybe 3 strong beaters, all ready to destroy her field. "Okay, well, I'm being honest when I say I'm sorry for this strong turn." She looked at the cards, then once more towards the top of her deck. Oh dear. Could she actually win this turn? "Alright, well, I activate Sagequoia's effect and send the Komushroomo that was on top of my deck to the grave, through excavation, meaning that his effect activates so I can choose a spell or trap card and destroy it." A finger extended out in front of her, pointing towards the sole on on Maisy's side of the field. Maisy's card shattered after it was flipped face-up, revealing it to be Draining Shield. "No! C'mon, that was my stall tool..." she grumbled, the card hastily being sent to the grave. She'd hoped to get some life points at least with it, but now it was just wasted. An exhalation of breath was notification of how Akemi was feeling bad about this duel, because she did have the tools she needed to do well so quickly. "Next, I flip over Snapdrassinagon into attack position, so I can use Fragrance Storm from my hand to tribute it, but I chain drawing a card with Snapdrassinagon's effect, so his activate's first." The 'Plant Food Chain' was briefly revealed before going to the bottom of the deck. "No matter, I draw a card..." Akemi quickly checked it, hoping for it to be a plant type and... It was. Possibly one of her favourite non-Sylvan plant cards. "Since I drew Botanical Lion, I get to draw another card." This one didn't particularly matter, in all fairness. "Now, I summon that same Botanical Lion as my normal summon and because of his effect he has, er," Quick maths was not her best asset. "2500 Attack, so we finally move on to the battle phase." The girl surveyed the field. It was extremely likely that she would win this turn, but she could not know what the monster would be. "I send my Botanical lion into attack with your face-down monster!" The rose-maned beast pounced up, then over to the face down card. The instant the lion pounced, the card flipped face-up to reveal...a small, ball-headed demon riding atop a cartoonishly tiny horse with wings was revealed, leading to Maisy smiling a little. She might be able to pull this off. "When my Fabled Peggulsus is flipped face up, I can reveal one Fabled monster in my hand to send one Fabled from the deck to the grave." she explains before the demon hurriedly rushed over to her and pointed at the left-most card in her hand, which she revealed to be The Fabled Cerburrel. Quickly, the demon grabbed Maisy's arm, flipping through her deck and shoving one card into the grave. "Now, because of Peggulsus' effect, I sent my The Fabled Catsith to the grave, meaning...Oh. Err...hehe...um..." the ball-headed demon slowly locked eyes with maisy and realized what this meant. "I lost." Maisy says before the Botanical Lion crashed into Pegulsus and his rider, the rider wailing and childishly crying as it banged its finger-less hands against the ground, now with an unconscious horse atop it as it's image shattered, leaving Maisy wide open. Receeding into a sitting position, the lion coyly began licking its paw, as if hadn't just done that. "Now, my two trees attack you directly, which is enough to end the match." An overwhelming sense of guilt took over Akemi at what she had done; it's not like there was even ninja techniques in this. The two large, sentient tress extended their branches to swipe at the other girl without anything to block her. MAISY: LP: 4000----->0

Maisy sighed regretfully, letting the end come peacefully as she barely avoided getting hit against the wall by the giant trees."...Holy crackers." Maisy says sinking to her knees, before saying: "That...was....AWESOME! YOU TOTALLY HAD THAT IN THE BAG FROM TURN 1! Is this one of the secret ninja tricks? You had all the right Sylvans ready and then my drain shield went like 'Creak' and broke and then Pegulsus was like 'Nooooo' and then..." she trailed on, clearly excited despite gaining a new career that day of moping the floor with her face. At the end, there was no doubt she had a quivered frown on her face, but as Maisy began talking over and over about how she had actually had fun, it eventually was replaced with a big wide smile. After she was done, Akemi reached into her pocket and pulled out a small ball, about three centimetres in diameter, and placed it into Maisy's hands."That's a smoke bomb, I mean, you seem neat enough, so I'll let you have it. Stole it from my cousin Venwyn, but he probably won't miss it. Just use it whenever you're in trouble." Afterwards she held out her right hand to lift the girl from the floor. Maisy gladly accepted the smoke bomb, taking Akemi's hand and picking herself up off the floor before putting the ball into her left-pocket, the ball-shape making it literally impossible not to notice. "Thanks! I promise to only use it in times of great danger." "Nice. Come to me if you need another one, I can always just take another, to be fair." A grin showed up on Akemi's face, before giving a thumbs up at Maisy.
