I've assembled my character, And assuming nothing changes this is he. He goes by Gall Nicknames/Titles: Lesser Death of the Fairy Hills. Age: He stopped counting a long time ago. Gender: Male. Race: Lesser Grim Reaper. Sexuality: Heterosexual, though he's not had much in the way of relationships in a long time. Year: His master is a year four student. Magic: Neutra: Barriers Gall can conjure barriers with his magic, using them to protect himself and his master. These barriers take the form of a hexagon, the hexagons being mostly see through with a hint of black. These barriers don't take much effort or mana to create, though having multiple out at once is taxing. How much the barriers can withstand, along with their size, varies mostly on how much mana and focus is being put into them. Assuming it is a single barrier that Gall is putting just enough thought into to keep it up the barrier will stop bullets, arrows, crossbow bolts and small fireballs. If he put all his focus into it however it is liable to holding off dragonfire, if only for a time. Strengths: The strength of the barriers is that they can be created instantly so long as Gall is nearby. Another note is that he doesn't need to put all his focus into the barriers, allowing him to raise them in the middle of combat. And of course once the attack is stopped he could just do away with the barrier. Weaknesses: The problems with the barriers is that they require focus to create. And also Gall needs to be aware of the area he is raising the barrier, if he can't see the spot where he puts it then he risks misplacing it. Another downside is that barriers aren't mobile, once one is created it doesn't move until dispelled or shattered, and on the subject of shattering, if one is broken it will create an amount of mental backlash equal to the amount of mana and focus going into it. So while a barrier meant to stop an arrow breaking might make Gall shudder, one raised to stop dragon fire or hold up falling rubble breaking may take Gall out of the fight entirely. Catalyst: As with any reaper, Gall has a scythe. His is relatively standard, a wooden haft and a iron blade able to cut through most traditional armors. The only unique feature of Gall's scythe is a carved symbol near the base of the haft, the heraldry of a French house. Inventory: Gall is never without his scythe. He would normally also have a timepiece of some sort with which could see how much longer a person had to live, however since he signed a contract with a mortal this has been revoked by the reaper hierarchy until the contract completed. Master: Livia Fiore (whom I will make a link to once both characters are in the CHAR section.) Squad Name: N/A Pesonality: Grim. A cliche word to describe a reaper I know. Often cold and emotionless, mostly due to Gall being dead so long. However since being in contact with so many living things he has begun to open up again, if only barely. Every once in awhile he may make a sarcastic joke. Though one shouldn't count on it. Backstory: Like all deaths save the first Gall was born a living person. However the only one to know of his past is himself and perhaps a few intrusive historians. He was assigned to the Dublin area when he became a reaper, and has faithfully carried out his duties since. That was, until he met a curious young mage. The girl caught sight of him while he was collecting the soul of a murder victim in an ally. The girl was apparently from France, here with her family for some reason. The two talked for a brief time, Gall had a moment before his next reaping, and she a few minutes before her family noticed her absence. However when she departed she left an impression on Gall. When she returned to him a year later to make a contract with him before she went to Liseranna, Gall couldn't not. Vows were made, and the two of them made final preparations. He went to his superiors and had his pocket watch taken along with his warrant for soul collecting, and then he returned to his new master.
