As the girl ran, Samael sighed and sprinted after her. When she turned down the first alleyway, he kept running straight, and jumped up onto the back of a stationary cart, before using it as a platform to jump onto the stack of crates beside it, then quickly pulling himself up onto the roof of the one storey building that the crates were stacked next to. Samael ran along the roof's edge, watching her progress down the alleyway below him, his strides growing longer with each step, picking up pace until he threw himself onto the next roof, following her from rooftop to rooftop, using her stop to pull glass out of her foot as a chance to climb up onto the second storey of a building and follow her further. When she stopped, he slowly leaned over the edge of the building he'd come to stop on, looking down into the dark alley below. He could make out her figure, pale against the dark and grime. And there, he waited in silence for her to make a move.
