Was everyone running into their ex's today? Yuki wondered at that as she watched Addy seem to recognize a guy in the pool they had escaped to. She glanced back at Delilah to make sure she was okay before she turned back to scene in front of her. She watched as her friend jumped into the pool and swam away from the guy, leaving the petite girl standing there alone. She sighed and was about to slip into the water after her friend when another guy caught her eye. She did a double-take as she recognized him, mouth falling open. "Jar? She wasn't sure if she said the name or mouthed it since it felt like she suddenly couldn't get any air. It felt like someone had sucker-punched her in the stomach. Was the boat tilting? Or was it her? She couldn't feel her legs anymore. She pitched forward, almost falling into the pool. Luckily there was a guy standing there and he managed to catch her before she careened headlong into the water. Her eyes remained locked on Jareth as she dimly heard the guy ask her if she was okay. Her brain seemed to break from whatever trance it had been in and kicked her body into action. She did was she did best: run. She whirled and darted away from the pool and towards the lockers. Her hand was shaking so much that it took her three times to get the key into the lock but when she did she grabbed her things and swiftly dropped the key off at the locker desk before making her way towards the elevator. She felt really bad that she was leaving her friends without any explanation but she just couldn't stay in the same place as him. Why, why was Fate so cruel to have them be on the same boat together? She had come on this trip to forget about him and wouldn't luck have it that here he was. She could feel the tears burning to escape but she managed to hold them at bay until she reached their hotel room. She numbly dropped her things off in her room and locked herself in the bathroom. She turned on the hot water and stripped out of her bathing suit. She stepped into the shower and closed her eyes, letting the hot water run over her. Finally, the dam she had built since their break-up broke and all the hurt and anger rushed over her. She slid to the floor and wrapped her arms around her knees, her sobs muffled by the shower as her tears mixed in with the water streaming down her face.
