A failsafe for a technology that it's dubious that anyone would have come up with in this setting anyway? All fitted into a reactor small enough to be used within the body of a single person without being detected? Unlikely to an extreme degree, even- no, [i]especially[/i]- taking into account the RWBY universe. The decision to use teenagers for such jobs isn't even relevant. That's a different conversation and thought process entirely.
