Tsukiko sighed as she was about to leave then it appeared Angelo at least wanted her to hear him out, because he was going to take another approach toward her. She didn't really see any reason to, because the last few times he only tried to look at things from his own point a view. Surely this time would be no different, but something inside her made her close her eyes and think it over. Where she came to the conclusion she would at least hear what else he had to say. It better not be the same repeated nonsense otherwise she was going to leave, because she was tired and wasn't in the mood anymore for people to treat her like some object of possession. "Fine, I'll listen to you. If it is the same nonsense as earlier I am going to leave." She did lighten up just slightly, but still that anger inside of her raged on like a lion. There was no replacing what she had lost and even Angelo's words couldn't bring what she lost in the past back. This was his last chance with her so he better make it good, because her patience was at its limit. "There is no such thing as a perfect life." Angelo said knowing that got her attention after he tried to talk about looking for happiness. The first statement she heard from him she was a little taken back by. She didn't expect to hear something like that come out of his mouth where her face shifted into a state where she was completely taken by surprise nearly paralyzed by the what he just said. It was very different than what he had said earlier and it was something she agreed with. At least they saw eye to eye that no life was perfect no matter how you live it. Perhaps she had misjudged him and not given him a chance, because she thought he was another one of those boys who bragged about how great their life was and how she would fit in perfectly. "That is not something I expected to hear from you... You aren't trying to deceive me, are you? You better mean those words, because I'm going to hold you to them. If you're any different than the other boys then you best prove it to me. Only then will I finally recognize you as one of my acquaintances. But only an acquaintance. Don't think I'm just going to automatically become your friend, because my trust isn't that easily given out. But, I guess..." She pondered for a moment as he managed to calm the hellfire inside her body that was raging wildly like flames burning on a course toward chaos. It wasn't enough to extinguish the flames, but it was enough to at least calm the raging phoenix that wanted to burn everything in her path to ashes. Of course, that was just a figure of speech for she earlier wanted to cause havoc. "It's a start." "There is no such thing as having a life without pain or suffering because that's life. I had an uncle once he was really nice to me and he encouraged me to be a duelist unlike my father but one day he was attacked by some punk in the street. He died in the hospital and I thought I lost someone who would always cheer me on in the stands as I took to the dueling circuit. My parents don't want me to duel and as a result that created friction between us. You're right I don't understand what you have gone through but I didn't live a perfect life because their isn't any such thing. All we can do is take everyday one at a time and hope for the best." Angelo unsure if what he was saying was having any effect on her at this point but even if he couldn't get through to her all he could hope for was that Angelo was really and truly trying to help her. When he continued she was mesmerized by what he had just said. This time his words were trying to relate to her pain instead of the trust big brother I'll make things better approach. Tsukiko wasn't entirely sure if he knew the gravity of her situation. It frustrated her that he spoke that way, because she did agree with some of what he had to say even though she would openly deny it if he ever asked her. "Then you understand full and well there is no light without darkness? If you didn't, you wouldn't have told me about yourself. You finally understand the separation between you and me now that you've finally admitted that you know nothing about how I've suffered in misery. To be honest, I'm somewhat impressed that you changed your approach. Perhaps you're not as naive as I thought you were. But I still think you're a fool to get involved with me though if you make this choice you best be willing to see it through to the end. Despite all those words I said to you yet you are still willing to help me? You really are an imbecile, aren't you? I guess there's no point in telling you to get the point since it's obvious that maybe there is some underlining truth to your first statement. I still hate you and everything you stand for. That will not change unless you can show me that you are different. Knowing that are you willing to shoulder the burden of my hatred toward you in an attempt to show me that you truly want to see things from my perspective? Remember, I will not forgive you if you abandon me, just remember that and if I find out you didn't mean those words I'll make you sorely regret you ever said them to me. I'm still not sure whether I should trust you or not. I will let you at least come closer to me. But hands off." She reminded him as she wasn't about to let him get too close to her. His words did have significant meaning to them and she could relate, but it still annoyed her though she had to keep it under control. There were students in the room and causing trouble would land her straight in the principal's office. Not to mention the scolding she'd get from her brother later on for getting careless and reckless. "I'll let you at least walk me back to my dorm but that is it. I will see for myself whether you are different or the same as the other boys. Do not try to convince me with words. If you really mean what you said then let your actions speak louder than words." Tsukiko decided to lighten up her cold demeanor slightly though she still had a very cold look on her face which wasn't going to go away anytime soon. The girl had gone through so much that it was hard to put all of it in just one conversation. So, he had problem with his parents too? Though I only had problems with my father... She thought to herself as she placed her index finger onto her lip pondering her thoughts. The only reason she was being more reasonable though is she remembered what Ben had told her earlier. She didn't know exactly what he meant by what he all said, but she did know that he was someone who was appreciating her for an individual and not the fact she was the opposite sex which is why he gained her respect immediately. She couldn't do the same with Angelo, because she still had her doubts about him that he would try to empathize with her, because there was the thought he could go back and try to hit on her again which bothered her. She decided she was going to head back to her dorm and despite the scary icy gaze on her face that froze quite a few boys in the room if they got too close she would at least invite him because maybe he was worth her time. "I'm heading back to my dorm. You are welcome to accompany if you want. I don't care either way, but my mother always told me I should give those who show compassion for others a chance. I suppose I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now. Don't take me for granted, dammit! I can change my mind in the blink of an idea so just keep that in mind." Impressively Angelo managed to finally calm the ice queen down and purge the exploding darkness that was almost to spill out of her heart. Her mind was captured by shadows where it was caught in a paradox of solitude since that is the only life she knew after the death of her mother. He managed to break her free of her suspicion and cautious approach which repelled most people away from her and lower her shield slightly so he could understand her better. But this was just a minuscule accomplishment because it would take more than just that to bring the light within her heart back to the surface where she might enjoy herself and smile once again acting like any other normal girl.
