IF THERE ARE ANY QUALMS WITH HOW I HANDLED ECHO (specifically the owner of such character) NOTIFY ME AND I WILL DEAL WITH IT WITH HASTE.

Echo was very quiet in the car, constantly checking her hair in the above mirrors to make sure it looked good. They’d lost a few minutes having made a wrong turn a few miles back (‘Err, sorry about that.’), however Echo was sure Nat would understand. The bottles of Echo’s signature Bailey’s Irish Cream clinked in the bag at her feet as they drove down the road, the sun slowly dipping down before them. She looked in the mirror once again, adjusting her hair in such a way that it covered the gash in her forehead, then tucked the locks of hair on the opposite side behind her ear, debating how she wanted to portray herself at the party. It was an odd feeling. First kinda date thing with a guy and she decided to wear a backless top, and a skirt none the less. Was that wrong to do this early on? Too risqué perhaps? Either way, it was a little late to change now. As they drove in comfortable silence towards the party, Jay was completely relaxed. Well, not completely. His heart still thumped like bongo drums and he was sure that his face still had a faint tint of red to it. The point is, he was calmer than he was before. He risked a glance towards Echo as she adjusted her hair while looking at herself in the mirror. He had already seen the cut on her forehead and he found it a little cute but chose not to say something as not to raise the wrath of the demon hidden in her petite body. He shuddered inwardly, shaking himself of such thoughts. As his eyes focused back on the road, he found the club he was looking for. As he slowed down, he squeezed Echo’s arm. "Ecks, we’re here now. Sorry ‘bout the getting lost thing." He parked in front of the club, grabbing his presents (a huge, well made mix of an ice cream/chocolate cake), the karaoke bag then quickly putting his mask on and exiting the car. He then circled around the front of the car and opened the door for her. “M’lady, I believe it is time to put your masks on." He gestured towards the club with a smirk on his face. Hopefully he doesn't get wasted tonight, that would be embarrassing. Thought that little vodka shot did help his confidence. Echo fixed the mask on her face, covering the scar on her forehead even more. She stepped out of the door and gave a nod towards him. Jejomar grabbed her hand softly and gently pulled her to his side. As they walked with speed towards the Club, he smiled to himself. It felt kind of nice to have someone at his side during these types of events. He always went alone and it was only on the odd occasion that he rode with Eva or Feliks. He knew that this was going to be a slow relationship but that didn't matter. What did matter was balancing this huge cake on one hand without it falling. Jay wasn't very close with Nat (they didn't really have any reason to connect) but he was knowledgeable enough to know that she liked food. And what foodie didn't like cake? Or was it Tas that liked food? There names just had to be similar. He also noted the fact that there would be a lot of alcohol and that keeping Karaoke Jay from escaping was going to be difficult. Echo's gift of Brandy didn't really give him confidence. He did bring his karaoke machine (I mean, what kind of Filipino would he be if he didn't bring a karaoke machine to a party!) but he did not intend on getting drunk. And singing. And getting a new tattoo. And kissing homeless men. He shuddered. Definitely not the homeless men. When the duo reached the entrance of the club, Jejomar felt his hand shake with nervousness. Not the hand that was holding the cake up thankfully but he was still a little nervous. Echo squeezed his hand for reassurance and he couldn't do anything but smile, his face set in the universal sign of "Thank you". It was weird for her, to reassure someone else about social gatherings. It was usually someone else who did that to herself. She blushed and looked away after mumbling "Your welcome." She pushed the door open and they both stepped into the club together. The duo recognised the group immediately. Jejomar led the way, cake in one hand and Echo holding onto the other. Recognising the fact that the Party had indeed started and that drinks were being opened and food was being wrecked by the foodies, it confirmed the fact that they were, indeed, late. They decided to greet the birthday girl first before going to greet their friends. They looked towards Nat with an apologetic smile, their mannerisms might as well have put a sign in front of her face saying "Sorry we're late." Jejomar and Echo stepped towards her before halting, thrusting their hands out with their respectful gifts before saying in unison "Sorry!" The man scratched the back of his head. "It was my fault that we were late." At the same time, Echo bowed apologetically. "It wasn't his fault, the streets were really dark and the GPS didn't work properly." They continued to babble and stutter in unison, blushing furiously. Unnoticed to them (probably for the best), the new couple seemed to be a topic of conversation. Why did his sister have to be the gossip queen of the group?
