"First off, this isn't a random man, it's an elf. I already told you of how elves were. They are not bad people, no matter how annoying and ridiculous they might be.Two, you would take this baby without giving the elf a chance to maybe adopt her himself. Why? Couldn't he take her to the very government you speak of with the intent to adopt her?" Miepolu asks. "I'm sorry with my earlier anger, and I realize you're right. But maybe you can give the child back and we can make sure she is appropriately adopted?" He says 'we' as if he would help make sure this happened.
