Technically, Luca was only raised as a priest and is more accurately a Favored Soul (if you're familiar with the D&D3.5e class). The majority of his magical potency does not belong to him, but what he does have is used the channel the Raven Queen's power into the mortal realm. Hence the change in eye color and voice bit when he's preparing serious magic. Also why I use a different color for his speech when he's using magic or performing a blessing.

Not really refuting you, just something I've been working towards getting out there for a while and this seemed like a good opportunity.
