I may have overestimated the powerlevel of this game, but we do also have a character who has racial advantages in the physical realm and is a trained spellblade with three separate power lists, plus a rogue with a standard skillset for both in and out of combat situations and a psionic powerlist. Even outside of having characters obviously adept at multiple focuses while Ajax is extremely singleminded in approach, the powerlists for both characters include a number of buffs and debuffs, further increasing their general scope and utility. Other characters without magical/psionic powers can be skilled at more than just the straight up hand to hand fighting aspect of it. Keep in mind I have no problem with this, if I did I'd say so, I'm just using these characters as an example of others that are around Ajax's level with a far greater scope than "pick the biggest thing and wrestle with it". Would you have the same issues if he were a typical fighter clad in full armor and wielding a big shield and bludgeon? Because then he'd be filling the same role and could also get buffs from acquiring better gear, something that other martially-inclined characters can do. Not to mention that even if he's built for it he's still using his own body as a weapon and shield, rather than using unfeeling pieces of wood and/or metal.
