You will have to do with my sheath."
Name: Makatsume Haruhiro Gender: Male Age: 30 something Title: The Lotus Samurai World: Original Personality: Haruhiro is a respectable samurai, who follows the path of a warrior to a T. He accepts any challenge, no matter what or who challenges him. Despite his usual stoic and calm demeanor in battle, the man is in fact really sarcastic and foul mouthed when he is not in battle. He, however, is not one to go picking fights wherever he goes. He will accept any challange, but he is long past making challenges of his own. Backstory: Trained in a dojo ever since he was young, Mitsuhiro was often complimented by teachers, students and opponents alike for his 'samurai name'. He lived up to it, of course. Makatsume Mitsuhiro was at first a martial artist, but eventually developed his kenjutsu as a way to fight opponents of all levels and abilities, without killing them of course. After that, Mitsuhiro started training, until he finally mastered the art with his sword. Now, he wanders the whole world (and perhaps others) searching for a worthy opponent for his skills. Inventory: Two katanas that he keeps always strapped to his hips. The first one is named 'Ryuukazuchi'. Its sheath is black and the guard is silver, and the hilt has a dragon ornament on both sides and blue as its background. The second one is 'Torazuma'. Its sheath is white and the guard is gold, the hilt has a tiger ornament by both sides and has red in its background. Powers & Abilities: Makatsume Style Kenjutsu The extremely refined fighting style Mitsuhiro has perfected after years of doing nothing but train his skill with the blade. It has 6 forms, or stances. Closed Lotus: The first stance of Mitsuhiro's battle style. In this stance, he fights only with one sword and it is still sheathed. Meant to be not lethal but to incapacitate. Precise and lethal. To finish off his opponents quickly. That is the focus of this stance. That does not mean he can't kill you in this stance, though. Crushing your trachea, smashing your skull in or breaking your rib cage are all very real techniques he'll use if he thinks you are not worth his blade, but you still want a match to the death. He can transition from this stance to Quarter Lotus with an Iai, or unsheathing, technique, the Dragon Iai. Nourished Lotus: The second stance. In this stance, he uses both blades, but still refuses to take them out of their sheaths. His attacks are a lot more wild and more dependant on brute force, though. He usually uses it against opponents with bigger bodies and more brute force than himself. His objective in this stance is to break bones but this stance is definitely not designed for killing, more like disabling for life. He may use it if you provoke him enough just to teach you a lesson. Quarter Lotus: [WIP]
