On a more general note, personally, if someone were to touch my face, I would punch their throat, not waste time with a toddler's method of self-defense.  Really, though, it takes an enormous and intentional lack of awareness of personal space to touch someone else's face.  Friends typically know not to do this--at least, mine don't.  Do any of you have friends who touch your faces regularly?  Perhaps it's a cultural thing.

Personally, if I was being assaulted, I wouldn't exactly care what method I used as long as it was effective and would create more opportunity to either attack, scream, or both.

And yes. Friends do touch faces sometimes. People like touching my nose. And they get slapped in turn. Unless my hands gets pinned. Then they get bit.
