Name: Tom Carson Age: 39 Faction: Independent  Bio:  Tom Carson was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to a British Army sergeant and his wife. Growing up in the turbulent political climate of the Troubles in 1980's Belfast left it's mark on young Tom, who came to hate both sides of the sectarian conflict and their extremism even more. He took refuge in history books, tales of epic journeys and mighty struggles taking him far from the fear and uncertainty of his dreary and grey homeland.  He joined the British Army's officer corps as soon as humanly possible, his only wish to get as far as possible from where he had grown up, and served in the Royal Ulster Rifles for the next years. He saw fierce combat in both Iraq an Afghanistan, coming to the conclusion that the fanatics he fought here were little different from the IRA or UVF back home.  By the time he returned to the UK he was 38, a Captain distinguished by his bravery in combat and looking like he had a glittering career ahead of him in the army. But something in Carson had died out there in the Middle East, his idealism given way to cynicism. He quit the army, wandering aimlessly for the next couple of months. Then one day he saw a history book written by one of his superiors on the shelves of a supermarket, and decided to try his hand at that. Using his love for history and his credentials as a former British serviceman he has obtained an invitation from the records department of Berlin to come and study the actions of Germany's Army Group North in the USSR. Little does he know what he will find there. Equipment: Walther PPK handgun as standard, everything else varies.
