Add in that he's about 5'11 and he certainly stands out in the crowd. His arms are covered with vine-like tattoos and if he's ever without a shirt, it's clear they twist and turn on most of his body. He doesn't seem to feel too strongly about them, caring little if they're exposed or covered up. Age: 16 Gender: Male Race: Human Sexuality: Unsure. Year: 6 Ranking Class: Destructive Class Magician, Warlock Naturalis Magic: Naturalis: With the Flow - Transfer energy from one area and a shift in temperature can result. Sap enough energy and water vapor will eventually freeze as the temperature plummets, while another area might grow uncomfortably hot. Adjust the air above someone and lightning might just find it easiest to reach down and strike them. Manipulations like these are what Runik is capable of as a Naturalis Warlock. Contritio: The First Spark - Fire and lightning are Runik’s specialization when it comes to the destructive school of magic, given the similarities. As a result of his abilities with Naturalis though, he’s also skilled in manipulating ice and is most often seen wielding the two opposing elements at the same time. He doesn’t expend his mana on making his destructive spells more powerful, but instead focuses on maintaining control while manipulating the environment around to strengthen his spells. Strengths: Immensely destructive, relatively efficient (thanks to the synergy between Contritio and Naturalis), and most certainly flashy. If something needs to get destroyed and people need to know it’s been destroyed than Runik is who you want. With an impressive mana pool and a catalyst that’s tuned to him, he shines when it comes to the offense. Weaknesses: A complete lack of substantial defenses. He can shape ice into a sort of barrier, or raise a wall of flame between him and opponents, but both are simply defensive applications of what are really offensive powers. Also, what the heck do people mean by subtle and low-key? He’s got tattoo sleeves that fucking glow when he uses his magic for god’s sake. Does that seem subtle?!? Catalyst: Runik bears a sprawl of runic tattoos that cover both arms and the majority of his chest and back. In-line with his magic circuits, they were etched into his body at a young age and seemed to have expanded and developed as he’s grown. Inventory: Standard teenager belongings such as phone, wallet, maybe a portable gaming device. Likes to keep a bag of nuts and dark chocolate around for a small pick-me-up. Familiar: None. Squad Name: N/A Are They The Leader Of The Squad?: N/A Personality: Upbeat and confident, Runik is the type to tackle challenges head-on and with a grin. A lover of competition and friendly banter, it’s the means rather than the result and he doesn’t put much weight on victory or loss. Perhaps Runik enjoys grand displays of destruction a bit too much, but thankfully his self-control isn’t non-existent. It might take a good smack on the head to rein him in every once in awhile, but he’ll be thankful and apologetic rather than confrontive at the least. Backstory: Is this really necessary? It is? Well, brace for the edge and grimdark that might just slip into grimderp. Occasionally a child with great a mana pool is born into a family that has no prior experience with the supernatural world. Runik, or whatever his previous name was, was one such of these children. While his potential was great, it seemed that it might have never been tapped as his parents remained oblivious to his gift. That was until a group approached them, interested in the child’s great mana pool. His parents loved him dearly and didn’t wish to part ways, but unfortunately this group wasn’t very nice and didn’t really care for what “mundanes” wanted. A tragedy reported as an accident, and the child was whisked away at the age of four. The experiments began quickly enough as they carved their projects and hypotheses into his skin and flesh. Things never did come to a finish as the group was discovered and dispatched of. As for him? A pair of those responsible for the discovery found and adopted him, giving him a new name, home, and parents. Unexpectedly, the memories of this time weren’t repressed, but then again it’s pretty hard to forget when the results greet him in the mirror every day. It was quite clear that he was headed to a magic school of some sort when he was old enough, the only question was which one. Despite the invitation that arrived when he turned 10, it wasn’t a year later that Runik attended Liseranna. His father had just retired and the family spent the year together, as a whole for the first time. The delay has evidently done little to hinder Runik’s advancement through the school though.

Enrolled at the age of 11 as a Year 3 Warlock in Contrito.
Got into his first match the following year, reclassified as Conjurer, and bumped up to Year 4. Started to become a regular at sparring arenas and dueling events at that time as well.
Gained the Class of Enchanter in Naturalis when he was 13, and nothing else to really say about that year.
Moved up to Sorcerer the following year while still trying to make that final jump to receive the Destructive Class Magician title. It was also when he began to run missions with teams that had a free slot available, since 14 was close enough to 15.
Finally made the break through required to attain Destructive Class Magician at 15 and subsequently bumped up to Year 5. Continued to run missions with whatever teams had a free spot, but he was always a temporary member.
Now this year with his Warlock Class in Naturalis as well, Runik's been classified as a Year 6.
To those that pay any attention to the outcome of missions, or any matches/duels that occasionally occur, Runik's probably at least known to them.
