[@TheIrishJJ] With the US, unless they were near major cities before the 1930's we have a lot of that problem. Lot of home births, back woods, people spreading out. It was hard to track a lot till that point. Another reason our heritage is so important, for the lines we can track more accurately it becomes key to defining our families past.
