[@Doc Doctor]That's still what I meant though. My move was to divert the strike to his shield no matter what it was. That's why I lifted the shield, so the aforementioned grab to the edge wouldn't happen.

Also quite vague as to how exactly he's striking and then grabbing onto the shield. I can't visualise it.
