That's not the argument. The seven deadly sins just aren't in the Bible; it's a man-made idea that came after as an interpretation. What is, however, is 1 John 2:16 "For everything in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--comes not from the Father but from the world."
