-Ma'at- But getting out literally defeats the entire purpose. We-- -Aphrodite- Ma'at, darling, let me handle this. Coatlicue, we don't necessarily need to go out and defeat the Oblivion, or Baphumet, or anyone. We're just preparing for the possibility. The Codex are supposed to be united, in any case. Think of this as a wake-up call: there are great threats on the horizon, and if we aren't strong together, we'll be swept away.
Coatlicue: Really? Because it sure sounds like you all are trying to put a target on the head of someone we've actively avoided since the birth of, and the most vocal one seems to be doing it because her "poor boyfriend didn't win." Personal feelings shouldn't have a place here.
This is different. We're preventing a catastrophe by abnormality. This is not the way this is supposed to be. And, instead of doing something, you propose continuing to do absolutely nothing? Or do have some other lead? This is our only hope for survival, Coatlicue. Just know I'm not strong-arming you. You're free to leave if you want. But the future of the Codex is in jeopardy, and you're a part of this, whether you want to be one of the ones that tries to fix it or not.
Coatlicue: An abnormality!? You're the oldest one here, I thought at least you would have a grasp of our history! I know you don't study it for a living like I do, but you should at least know the Oblivion was supposed to be the only one! The fact that there were sixteen is the abnormality! Or do you actually think that- ... *Takes a deep breath and exhales slowly* Nevermind. Sorry for freaking out, you probably weren't talking about that. I get it, I'm biased because I'm happy because someone did the completely impossible and made the Triggers into one thing, but even without that, it's not our job to target someone. And if we do, then what? What's to stop us from turning into a force like those counts or whatever they called themselves back a ruling classes? Us? No, if we start targeting things we don't like, that's it. Existence gets a despotic group that can't possibly be overthrown, and that is exactly what are job is, to prevent that. To prevent some group or entity or being or whatever else from unchangable control. You all are talking hypotheticals, so let's go to one bigger. We go out in force and kill someone who's not even a Codex or in danger of taking permanent rule of everything. Next thing you know, we're doing that to everyone we don't like and we become exactly what we're afraid of. *Sighs* I'm not going to be a part of that, and I'm sickened that anyone here is advocating we let Baphumet dictate our actions for us. It's not you you I'm worried about strong-arming anyone, it's her.
