Marie "Gah!" Marie muttered as she pushed her way through a few bushes. "I'm so tired of this forest." It's been a tiring day, since there was a hubbub in the Santalune Forest on Marie's return trip home to Santalune City. A lot of the bug pokemon were running wild and if it weren't for the pure number Ralts would have been able to handle it well. "Alright. I think I'm back on the road now. I'm really hating Beedrill right now." Somehow, the girl found her near the exit towards Santalune. "As much as I love Aquacorde, I think I'm avoiding that forest for now. Alright, it's safe now Ralts." Marie continued as she released he small white-green pokemon from it's Pokeball. The small pokemon replied with a soft Rrrrraalts. It looked around sleepily before turning to its partner and repeating it's name questioningly. "We're heading back home now. Mom said someone had a special delivery on the phone earlier. I think she mentioned Lumiose, so I guess we're going to the big city?" She didn't really know much herself, but that left itself for when she got back to Santalune. Which wasn't really a far walk from here. "Still, you look tired, Ralts. Did you want me to carry you back?" Ralts started to walk itself but drooped its head and turned back to Marie before nodding slightly. With a slight smile Marie picked the small Pokemon up and carried it in her arms back home, chatting as much as she could with the small thing. Not much later and the two return to the town. "Finally back to town." Marie laughed and smiled. Ralts was delighted as well with a small smile across it's face. Marie turned towards her house-- FLASH-FLASH "Wha-what!" Marie stuttered as she jumped out of surprise. She hadn't really been paying much attention to her surroundings, or at least who was there. "Sorry, sorry. You two just had the happiest looks on your face so I couldn't help but take a shot." A woman with a camera, cargo pants and a tank-top apologized. "It was just so nice, so it should be immortalized in film. . . Right? Hehehe." She was no stranger at the least. "Geez, you should at least ask permission Viola. Some people'd call you out on that." Marie wasn't exactly angry since she knew what the woman was like. Always on a quest for great pictures. "Actually, did you just get back? You were out when we left for Aquacorde." Viola nodded with her own smile, clicking through her camera for a bit, "Yea I got some good pictures. Look at this." "Ugh." Beedrills. It just had to be Beedrills didn't it. Actually. Beedrills aside, this looked like a whole pack of them. "You didn't rile up a whole swarm of them to get that picture... Did you?" "N-no. I didn't really." A slight blush ran over her face. "Not on purpose at least, I had a picture of a few Weedle. . . But I accident bumped into a tree and I heard the roaring of wings. Luckily I hid in time! No need to worry about me." She had a proud look on her face as she reminisced about the picture being taken. Marie sighed in unison with Ralts before telling the photographer about their experience earlier. "Oh my! I didn't think something like that would happen as a result. Well..." The woman reached into one of her cargo pockets and pulled out four red-white balls. "Seeing as you look unharmed, I'm happy. In any case take these Pokeballs from me. If I had to guess? I think you might need them soon anyhow." Before Marie even had a chance to ask anymore, Viola practically pushed the girl towards home. "Have fun!" Marie was, of course, instantly confused. Ralts, sensing her emotions, followed her thoughts and felt confused as well. . . Though it didn't really understand. "Mom, I'm home." The girl announced as she entered through the front door. Marie's mother was cooking in the kitchen adjacent to the entryway. "Welcome home, Honey. I've just about finished with dinner. Take a load off and we can talk while we eat." Marie set Ralts down where it wandered around a little bit before finding itself a spot on the couch. . . After climbing up. Marie's mother spoke again from the kitchen. "Your dad wanted me to tell you he's sorry that he can't be here right now. He got called away for work. Maybe you'll get to see him with your next request. Oh! And Ol' Jacques left the money he promised on the coffee table over there." "Oh yay! Lesse'. Two, three, four, five!" How generous of Ol' Jacques. "5000! Oh, I've been wanting to get a hat in Lumiose! One of those riding caps." Ralts raised its arms up and cheered with a little bit of a noise, Raaaaalts. "I know, right?!" Apparently her mother had finished cooking since she was bringing plates of food to the table. "Now, now. Just remember to budget your time, you have two deliverys. The first one is actually from Viola to her sister." So that's how she knew what was going on there. She said it'd be faster to send you than any other way." At the least Marie was happy someone was confident in her skills aside from Ol' Jacques. "The other. . . Well, the person handed it to me and said someone would find you in Lumiose." "Well, I can probably make it to Lumiose before it's dark. I just hope that the second delivery isn't as sketchy as it sounds. . ." Looking at the two deliveries revealed it was just two letters. One to Alexa, Viola's sister and the other labeled to. . . L? How weird. "Like, this is really, really sketchy." She had one of the most unbelieving looks on her face as she looked the letter over. "Whatever, I guess a job's a job. Gotta' keep up my reputation I guess." "This is true, now let's eat." Mother said as she started eating. The party of three chowed down, two of them more than the other. "My, my. You two are eatting really fast. Must be hungry." She giggled as she slowly cut up her food and ate. Marie and her Mother idlely chatted for a while bufore Marie realized the time and got up to leave with Ralts. "Love you, honey. Stay safe for your dad and I!" "Gotcha' mom. Don't worry. Ralts'll protect me! Right?!" The tiny pokemon replied with a astounding cheer, making Marie smile as the two walked out the door, heading north towards Lumiose.
