She breathed calmly and evenly, having a good guess as to what she had just been drenched in. Only when she was confident in her own heartbeat did she open her eyes, seeing her assailant bloodied and knocked out, slumped in Retsu’s grip. Chaos seemed to surround her, a full out brawl in the pizza parlor. If the students didn’t call the police then the staff would, of that Yoshino was sure of. She blinked wearily, catching a quick sight of Maribel dragging Alex out of the restaurant; she couldn’t blame the Vice President. Nobody wanted to be caught here when the cops showed up. “Yuuno….Yuuno, stop. I’m fine,” Yoshino said when she realized her paranoid cousin was beside her. She wiped the streak of blood away from her cheek and frowned, giving Yuuno a direct look before saying, “Please, I’m alright. The cops are on their way and there’s no need to be worried about me. Just go. I’ll follow you shortly.” Standing on wobbly legs, she gave Retsu a nod before weaving her way through the fighting. After bearing witness to Retsu’s strength, nobody dared to lay a finger on the Student President. That was fine by Yoshino because she headed straight to the woman’s bathroom, making sure to lock the door behind her as well. The others were either fleeing the scene or finishing up. Whatever the case, nobody wanted to be present when the police showed up for questioning. That meant she had to do this fast…if only she could stop the pounding that wracked her chest. Clenching the sink, Yoshino stared at the mirror, noting how wild her eyes really were. She was amazed how she had concealed the shaking of her own body; she supposed that came with public speaking skills given her occupation in Purple Crown. But now she could restrain herself no more, a hand clenched on her chest as she shuddered uncontrollably, her blood pressure rising as panic soon set into her mind. No, it wasn’t the splash of blood that had so thoroughly spooked her; rather, it was the look in the boy’s eyes. Blank and emotionless. Kill her. That boy was really going to kill her had Retsu done nothing. He stared right at her…and she couldn’t look away, as much as she tried…oh god he kept looking…. On the edge of breathing in sharp, ragged gasps, Yoshino jabbed her hand into her dress pocket and fumbled for her glasses. They were on in no time, the Student President staring at her own unleveled expression and slowly, slowly, she began to calm down. She began to breathe again. She turned the water on, splashing it on her face, not caring if the glasses got wet. The glasses…she needed them…she needed them…. Outside the pizza shop, Maribel held Alex close and pinned both of their bodies on the wall. A hand was covering his mouth to conceal his initial shock. She had already briefly explained her concern for Yoshino and so wouldn’t leave without checking up on her. But she couldn’t well do that with him flailing around now could she? In any case, she waited in patience, careful to avoid the illumination of siren lights.
[@Caits], [@KoL], [@McFazzer], [@Lucius Cypher], [@OldManWong], [@Kitsune]
