Alex considered himself very fortunate that he had stumbled upon the twins at that time, with their offer of transport in turn for labor. They were nice people, and he was grateful for that. Admittedly it made them easier to manipulate, but in this case he wasn't even lying to them! It assuaged his conscience a little bit, for what it was worth, and he chatted amicably as they made their way to the docks. Soon enough they would approach a woman with purple hair, which was interesting in and of itself. He kept silent for the most part given that they were acquaintances and he didn't want to interfere with that. Instead he would merely put on an affable air, smiling and waving when they introduced him. He was more than willing to let them carry the conversation, if only to keep from drawing any unnecessary attention. Being recognized as the guy who broke into the Citadel would be a tad uncomfortable right now. "Hey," he said at last, stepping forward. "I'm Alex. And yes, I've agreed to help out for the duration of the trip." There was nothing wrong with a little bit of hard work. "I'm headed to Arcadia, so I hope we'll have a pleasant trip."
