Hi! Welcome back! I was in a similar rejoining situation so I can fill you in on some changes that have been made.

-The new slang is the old slang, everyone talks like your parents trying to be cool
-All CS's must be submitted to GMs in latin prior to their posting (in english) for second approval in the OOC
-To inform people of the respect you have for them &/or their writing send them links to youtube videos about mantis shrimp

Do all of the above and your readjustment will be easy as pie. 

In all seriousness, I hope the return to rp helps with the writing and creative whatnot. Kudos on the return, I shall wish you luck.
