Indeed, one of the core purposes of aftermath is to explore the nuances of the light and dark sides, including what paths might guide individuals between them. Some Jedi remain stalwart, others might fall to the dark side. At the same time, some Sith might fall to the Light Side. 

Now that we're not on a tablet, we can also say that Ratataki is a species we've not yet had anyone try playing in aftermath. Or at least not actually join into the story with. Thus it should be a refreshing species to see someone play.
