[@MacabreFox] only the avatar? :o Mono says it's because (or might be because) I play a "Believably feminine female character without a huge libido" (not 100% verbatim, but close enough).
Yep (: well when you have a name that isn't gender-associated, it's harder to tell. Whereas someone named LadyMoon, or something feminine, would have me presume that they were female. And Kapuchu, is hard to determine whether it's masculine or feminine. I normally look at Username, and Avatar in determining what gender someone is, although I try my best not to pick a gender, unless I ask, or they tell me themselves. Like my username, and avatar, most would have a hard time determining my gender, but if you look at my history of characters, I predominantly play female characters.
[@MacabreFox] Heheheheh, I just sort of seem to kill plants when I touch them, tbph. I'm more a metalworker. And I can absolutely help in regards to Wes' guns! You actually chose quite well for the time period as far as the 1878 goes, because other guns are either going to be single action (which is fun to shoot at the range, and less so when there are bullets going both ways) or considerably weaker - such as the Colt 1889, which uses the .38 Long Colt - which the military had to go back to using the older guns because the .38 simply would not stop charging tribesmen (Aleksandra's guns are in fact based on them, but since she's a brilliant metallurgist she sent extra strong materials over with a letter and had hers completely custom smithed). Were the date a few years further along there'd be even more interesting options, even including such things as the ever classy Mauser C96. [@kapuchu] It's more that in my experience a lot of men playing female characters will create archetypes that they're probably masturbating to at night.
I actually had help from a fellow GM, send me a polite PM telling me that the Colt M1878 would be the best choice for a man like Wes, so I just went with it. Yikes! That Mauser C96 looks deadly as hell, though I'm not sure if there would be problems loading it with the way the bullets are positioned. By metalworker, what do you do? Any smithing?
