At the same time as she sat down at the empty table Blitz was joined by the tall German, Jarvis. He had a meal built for two but it was all for him. Beside it was two bottles of coke. He smiled at her and stuck his fork into what was a piece of chicken fried steak next to some smash potatoes. Country gravy spread over both as well as three corn on the cob. He looked over to the kid and smirked. "Making friends as always Blitz?" He asked. He looked around the place as he cut into his meal. He saw the wounded and he saw the healthy. The odds of any of them surviving the next attack was pretty slim. Then again accounting for the help Erika's pops might improve them ,but one could never be too cautious. One thing he knew about these Xenos was that they were opportunists. All it would take is one guy in here to fuck up and this whole thing could fall apart. That's how he lost the original crew to the tank and the base he was stationed at. They were pretty well fortified and nothing got through their defenses due to a electrical fence. All it took was one human to forget to turn it on and when the Xenomorphs attacked enough of them swarmed over the fence that it did not matter when it was turned on. The base had already been lost. He was certain that man would have been Ralph, however he died. Good riddance if you asked him. Perhaps there were someone still loyal to him and crazy enough to pull it off. Say that person knew of a entrance not mentioned in the blue prints and didn't tell anyone about it. Say the damned monsters outside found it and used it to get inside..... the whole operation would go to shit just like that. He sighed and looked back at his meal and started on it. Bakki sat outside on top of the tank. He found himself watching the engineers at their work. The were working fast and efficient at the defenses of the bunker. He wondered if it would be enough. He hoped it would be enough. He took note of a few sentry towers that had been erected. These towers had already men stationed on them. Every so often he would see a tracer round fire off from one of them. They made sure that the Xenomorph scouts would not be able to watch too much of their work. The black serpents will never leave them alone. Even now he could imagine them swarming around the country side swallowing up the innocents in their wake. He suddenly had an idea and climbed into the tank and found the radio. He pulled it out and brought it with him into the bunker and set it up. He then began to mess with the dials until he got a radio broadcast. "....We have even more bad news for our fellow Americans. The south eastern and north eastern states have gone silent with no radio contact from anyone. Nothing. It pains me to say this but it sounds like the monsters that took New York have claimed half the country and according to reports parts of Canada as well...." The broadcaster had paused for only a second and then continued. "... What remains of the nations great military is doing everything they can to fight the monsters but the fight is going no where fast and each fight creates more casualties.... If you are out there and still within the eastern states. Stay where you are and continue to fight the good fight. I will continue to bring you the news,... no matter how much pain it will cause to hear it." Bakki sighed and knew that the news had pretty much told him and several survivors around him that they were surrounded and not for the best. They were just one speck of heaven in the ever growing pit of hell. He sighed and sat back in his seat. Erika remained within the pod. She was removing most of her clothing as instructed. She was beginning to wonder just what they were going to do to her. She sighed and figured her father new it was best and that it would improve her survival. Probably improve the survival of her friends too. She paused and thought of them. Kiley, Jin, Hotaru, Blitz, Jarvis, and Bakki. They were the only ones she really cared about. The survivors sharing the safety of the bunker did not matter to her too much. She didn't know them and their involvement with Ralph. However, she knew she could not protect them all. She would try to save as many as she could but the lives of those that she brought here in the first place came first. It may have sounded a bit cold when she thought of it that way but it was true. These people meant nothing to her. She accepted the fact they might not make it. Not all of them. She knew there was a small chance she might not make it either. She was also okay with that. If it was her time it would be her time. She had no siblings and the only family she had left was her father. Miles was hers and he would likely feel the worse if she had died. Once most of the heavy clothes were off she looked to a mirror and looked at herself. All she wore was the tank top and a pair of her underwear. What she saw was spots where bruising had taken place. She sighed and looked at the doctors who came to check up on her. "Don't tell father about them,... don't want him to worry." She said and they nodded. It was his best interest not to know the risks she took to get to this spot and all the close encounters with the reaper. If he knew he would likely sedate her and take away from here to a much safer place. Which would be nice but she could not leave Miles or the others. Their survival depended on her being here. She walked over to the table and laid down upon it. The doctors already began their work. First they began injecting fluids around the bruising. She did not know what it was but it worked marvels as the bruising disappeared almost instantly. Then came the sedative for her. It was quick and painless. One of them new syringes which had a small needle and the fluids where injected quickly without any pain at all. It was almost as if they hadn't injected anything at all. Her eyelids began to get heavier and heavier and the room began to blur as she lost consciousness.
