[@Vulkan] Not at all. As I said, it takes Rebeca several minutes to finish her meal, during which she will have ignored everything else going on around her (and everyone, please stop trying to piss her off, I do not intend for her to wind up naked just yet). Alain could still definitely make his attempt to calm her and Giratina, though in Rebeca's case it would have been counteracted by the food she's eating (trying to literally burn out one's taste buds is very effective at keeping someone awake and alert). After seeing her apparently not reacting, and knowing absolutely nothing about her, he could assume that she wasn't going to do anything at all until it was too late.
