"I'm glad you enjoy my cooking." Gerald replied when Evon commented on the food. It was always great to see people enjoy your food, and people telling you even more so. Mathias was too busy with his own food to also comment though. That is, until Evon offered some of her yogurt. He grinned a little, swallowing before turning to her. "Yogurt isn't as sweet, but okay." He spoke, taking a spoonful from her. At which Martin had to chuckle a little. "You two look like a couple doing that." And you only know each other for...what now, just under two weeks?" Mathias raised a brow, turning to the man as he glanced between Martin and Evon. "I wouldn't say couple..." He mused, it being too soon for something like that. Heck, not even two weeks was pretty fast for them to already be a couple in his opinion. It might be old-fashioned, but even without his past he felt like a few weeks of courtship was normal. Back in the good old times you'd start with letters, then arrange a meeting, then meet a few more times, then stay for a few days, or have her stay with you. All in all it could take over a month before you could really get to know a potential lover.
