It was as if they had been waiting for their resolution. Like the whole room had been listening in for the plan, and as soon as it had been aired, it all burst into motion.

The plan wasn't going to be put to the test, but rather pop-quizzed.

"Watch out!" he called, backpedaling even as a Griever's grabbing swipe fell short of his face by a mere half-second. ell, more accurately, it probably was trying to grab at his throat...

Eyes flicking across the field as he completed a one man Boke-Tsukkomi routine, he answered the swipe with an emphatic punt that more reminiscent of a Messi than a Jose Aldo, but would serve the desired purpose all the same. Either force it back, or hit it really hard in the face. 

Technically, it was faster along a linear path, so kicking like a soccer striker as opposed to an MMA striker might have [i]actually[/i]—

Wait, these three weren't alone!

Things were getting hectic, and the hapless hunter was having all but a hernia trying to keep up. Stalking towards the trio was a pair of giant, nasty looking rats the size of wild hogs...

It was getting too crowded in here, and those two looked the meanest. At the point of the group, even after drawing back, Luke realized that he was in the way of the three attacking, with his team behind him at either side. That meant for the moment, at least, they were alright if he held them off.

Alright, [i]and[/i] able to work freely.

Something resembling inspiration lit up his head.

[b]"Stick to the plan! Cian! Take the two big ones out first!"[/b]

Even as he barked the order, he surged forward with a war cry and arms spread wide, all but charging the three Grievers to meet them head on, and as far from his team as he could help. If he could at least keep the three busy long enough for Cian to put a few rounds in the Scavengers' heads, they had already made the situation much more manageable. If he kept his wits about him, he could fend the three little ones off for that long without major issue.
