Before Lu could even take the chance of reclaiming her throne in the demon realm, she and Ciel were warned by the priestesses of Elrios that something was amiss. With the decisions made by the El Search Party and the power of all the priestesses combined, Lu and Ciel were sent over to work with the Resistance against the Reign of Chaos.

Lu is both experienced in close-ranged combat with her gauntlets, meaning that she is physically strong, and also in ranged-combat with the ability to summon evil spirits to bombard foes from afar, also meaning she is strong in magic. However, she is terribly frail and sluggish, and relies on Ciel to assist her on making fast assaults.

Ciel comes off as a cool and collected individual, and despite being specifically the servant of Lu, he would do anything to ensure that he can fulfill his end of his contract with Lu, which is to help her reclaim her throne. Even if that would mean a second death on his end, Ciel would only do the things that will make Lu happy, and that goes along with making sure that she wasn't making any choices that would hurt her in the future.
