[@lugubrious] I see you lurking, you wanna get in on this?
Quite the opposite, in fact. I'm only here confirming that everything is proceeding in a fashion entirely unsatisfactory to me. There's little buildup, little detail, and little meaning behind much of anything. I'm still getting the vibe of teenagers goofing around with superpowers, not gods. Blatantly ripping off the inklings seeming in particular poor taste, not to mention the Golden Spider from Asura's Wrath, as well as Flowey from Undertale. In general, the unoriginality is staggering. The fact that Cythella is still alive and Rhona is healed again effectively moves any chance of either drama or consequences for actions since death is a slap on the wrist, barring future developments. The amount of world-building is mediocre and uninteresting, as tends to happen when you just magic fully-developed civilizations into existence with the snap of a finger, but without really getting into detail. Instead of advancing civilization and incredible miracles, we're getting a couple of cobbled-together love stories and a little drama. You'd be correct if you think I'm being persnickety. I was involved in a fantastic gods-related RP called Divinus. It was set in an original world, with entirely original characters, a system of 'might' that governs what the gods are able to do, and as such a slow but steady and fascinating progression. Take a look if you like. The idea is that two over-deities, Invictus and Fate, created the gods from nothing in an infinite void. As they struggle with being newly incarnated, an orb appears that they are asked to imbue with fragments of their power. From this orb the cosmos is born, and a barren planet beneath them is available. The gods start with little power, and things happen gradually. In this RP, though many of the gods seemed human, you can definitely get a sense of godhood from them. So even if I were to join this, I would be doing something completely different to everyone else, effectively making my own story. And that's something I can do anywhere else.
