Yzeira Yezia
[sub]Eldritch IV - Deep within the RoC Base[/sub]

"Feh"
Yzeira's pen shifted violently across the surface of his journal's 45th page, splattering black ink across the dimly lit contents. The ground was shaking. Why was it shaking? He'd never record his notes on that insufferable Hazama's abilities at this rate. His journal would sooner become a messy carnival of ink, flooded with nonsensical abstractions that blotted out the valuable information that it held. The masked man gritted his teeth for a moment and followed the walls of his private little room towards the origin of the quakes. Eugh, the resistance was actually able to make their way indoors after all. It wasn't all that surprising. Yzeira knew that these worthless peons weren't to be trusted on the field of battle. Nevertheless, he didn't want to waste him time exterminating a mass of self-indulgent meat sacks, or the metal caskets they adorned to their graves. The rest of the RoC could handle it, he had better things to do. Still, his hand shook with each reverberation that the base suffered. Working in these conditions would be pointless. Perhaps a few minutes of his time would be well invested in removing the filth that wormed its way into the HQ. But therein lied a slight hiccup, where his presence may have roused suspicion within the RoC. If Shinnok knew of his presence there, would that warrant further investigation of his intentions? Yzeira had been notified that this world held little importance in the grand scheme of Nyx's plans, or something along those lines... No, his presence on Eldritch shouldn't appear suspicious. He was there to help of his own free will- if anyone asked, anyways. Truthfully, he stood closer to the higher ranked RoC individuals to study their abilities, especially that arrogant blowhard Shinnok. Apart of Nyx, he'd be the biggest obstacle to deal with. That amulet of his, the magical power he possessed, all of it was too dangerous to be handled with reckless abandon. Bah, Yzeira had found himself thinking in circles again, and immediately cut his train of thought. He stood up from the iron table, pushing his chair back with his legs as he scooped up his journal and tucked it away, inside of his coat. The candle he used to light the room flickered into obscurity, and within moments, he'd left to assist Hazama near the base's center. The halls rocked unsteadily with each footstep, irritating Yzeira to no end. At first their origins were a mystery, but as he grew closer to where the calamity originated from, Yzeira drew a bigger picture in his mind of what had been going on. What the hell was all of this about, though? A loud android, a boy dressed like a clown, a worthless void elemental, and Hazama? What a quaint little collection of nobodies. Yzeira neared the room slowly, gathering energy in the pit of his stomach, and converting it into an array of floating spheres that began to move throughout his body, before stopping at his ankles, and floating neatly around his feet. 1-2-3, they gathered continuously as he made his way towards the conflict at a slow, casual pace. Within these spheres, he stored excess power to access at a moment's notice if the situation called for emergency action, but individually, they possessed phenomenal destructive power. 5 spheres in total hovered near his feet by the time he reached the door separating him from his ally and the three who threatened to siege their HQ. The ethereal Mage stood hidden behind a wall at the opposite end of the room, and Hazama was on the attack with his... Chains. Perhaps it would bode well to wait for an opportune moment before striking. Just then, a thought occurred to him, why were the resistance here? To capture a head executive, namely Shinnok. How would the resistance respond if Nyx's second head executive was confirmed on the scene? Yzeira held no pride or value in the title, but the amassing forces that threatened to take this RoC base? Would he put himself in Danger once knowledge of his presence spread? Or could this force a tactical retreat? No, they weren't that cowardly. They were here to do a job, to capture a Head executive. Perhaps allowing himself to be captured in Shinnok's place would be beneficial for him in the long run, albeit somewhat risky. They were here for Shinnok, after all, not Yzeira. Then, another thought popped up, how would Shinnok respond to Yzeira's presence once he learned the chaotic mage had snuck his way into the base? It could've been catastrophic, who knew how anyone would respond. Regardless, there was no good reason to wait. Yzeira rose one hand and placed it on the door, pushing it aside and approaching the scene. He positioned himself far behind Hazama, and scanned the immediate area with his crimson glare. "Ahem," Yzeira cleared his throat audibly, but didn't put forth much effort to catch Hazama's attention. Several soldiers looked his way, recognizing his presence for only a moment before redirecting their attention towards Kid Flash and Penny Polendina. The RoC soldiers were far more apt than he'd first thought. They didn't possess the power of their superiors, but they knew to aim straight, even when somebody like Yzeira arrived on the scene, not to be distracted by something so irrelevant to their mission. Yzeira did the same, despite having a nearly flawless perception of his surroundings for several yards. Who was to die first?
