[@Loony] Haha the colors of their feathers almost don't look natural.  The first thing that comes to mind for me is how this implies the world must have looked when dinosaurs were around, if they were anything like that then at one point this planet was basically a literal cartoon. And yeah I've heard that a lot of birds can have really cool personalities like that, they sound like pretty amazing pets.  It reminds me of this exhibit my local zoo has where you can walk into a bird enclosure during the summer and give them food.  Some of them will happily perch on your hand or shoulder while you feed them but most of them would try to steal your little nectar cup.
