He is also well known among the lesser know "basher league", a group of armored Goron that practice their skills with "bull challenges". these are tests of not only strength, but durability. [see *challenge* at bottom for more information.] - *see unarmed* - *see unarmed* - when Guru isn't training, he's out in the mountains mining for ores to supply Termina's smiths. While doing this he tends to lift boulders and toss them into various piles, giving him a good deal of accuracy with how often he tosses said stone. - like most Gorons, Guru is adept at the making of explosives, and given some time can even make a Powder Keg. Though it is rare and far between needing to be made. - Guru occasionally uses spare ore to make bomb casings, and sometimes patch his armor bands. Inventory: 5 hand-bombs 2 bombs 5 hand-bomb casings 4 half-casings for regular bombs 8 bottles of bomb-powder (1 bottle = 1 hand-bomb or half a bomb) Backstory: Guru was an unusual goron from the start. He liked talking to outsiders more then most and wasn't content with how calm things were. It didn't help that he was an orphan, his parents falling to a mysterious illness. As such he was cared for by the entire town, and knows some of them better then even their friends do. As Guru grew, he felt that things were just to calm for him, and he wanted more excitement then what the mountains could afford. Outsiders were a source of this, having tales of creatures and dungeons and witches. Growing up in the mountains Guru learned everything that a normal goron would: the best ways to roll, the making of bombs, how to tend to bomb flowers, and eventually how to make the fabled powder keg. Eventually Guru took up work by going into the deep mountains to mine for ores and supplies them to Zubora in exchange for armor improvements or rupees if needed. Although tension between Zubora and the gorons is stronger then usual lately, Guru still goes and chats with him from time to time to keep up with current events. In his free time, which there was a lot of, Guru would practice unarmed combat in his armor because he knew someday he would need the skills. Peace never lasted forever, and Guru wanted to be able to take his idols role if the need would arise. Gurus idol, Darmani, was one of the saviors of clocktown and Guru thought that it was the coolest ever as a youngling. he wanted to be just like him, or at least as close as he could get. He used this as his goal when training. His fighting skills also came in handy during the wrestling tournaments that are held every year in clock town, which Guru himself hosts. Although normally outside of clocktown when hosting the event, Guru has had to host further then usual due to the large amount of carnival goers this year. Much news has flown across Termina, and many people are intrigued. explanation of the basher league: Guru started the "basher league" with a few of his friends who also practiced in heavy armor, namely a few guards. Originally a small club of friends that started when he was about 17, it has grown into a sizable underground wrestling club. Literally. Its in a massive underground cave that looks almost like a crater. Guru found it while wandering beneath the city one day. They have monthly "bull challenges", where goron compete to show their durability and skill with a modified version of sumo wrestling. a pair of competitors would roll towards each other and break into a sprint at the last moment, trying to knock the other over by slamming into them. it has become a popular sport among the goron, and was even seen in short tournaments in the festival. Occasionally outsiders manage to make it in to watch, but with growing tensions it has decreased as of late. Wallet: 20 Rupees (a hidden pocket within his satchel's lining)[/hider]
