[@Loony] Oh hey, you just reminded me of another thing.  There was this store I used to love visiting as a kid where they would keep all kinds of birds outside in cages around the store.  The store's mascot was some kind of green parrot named Jerry but I think my favorite was this very sweet toucan.  We weren't allowed to pet the birds but from what you've said I bet the toucan would have let us do it.  The green bird would always say "hello" to customers as they came in through the front door, I think that's why people liked him so much.  I also learned that you aren't allowed to make too much noise around certain types of birds.

Also I think that's what they were, I don't really remember though since I haven't been there in a while.
