My conversational pattern often gets randomly connected and is prone to not make a single sense no matter how many times you try to comprehend it. Nevertheless, I'm an overall friendly person even if our views about society differ from one another or even if you're a cat person. I will try my best to clearly specify my RP preferences here and also the variety of plots that I am mostly interested on. So without further ado let's get started...

stuffs & thangs.

What I prefer to be called: Conflux, Con, Lux, Connie are the ones I'm comfortable with. Otherwise, if you want a real name, you may call me Mark, and it's up to you to assume whether or not that's my real name. Either way, it won't matter. :P Age: I'm in my early 20s, specifically 23. Gender: Male About Myself: I'm an eccentric human being who mostly finds comfort from being alone, though ironically, the characters I usually create are extroverts and socialites with a small mixture of broody loners. I just graduated last year and am temporarily working at a financial institution as of now. My job is indeed stressful but the amount of money I receive on a monthly basis is enough to put a smile on my face. Apart from playing video games, watching TV series/movies and roleplaying, I sometimes do painting as a method of relieving stress or just to lift myself up from boredom and put my creative juices to good use. At times, I visit bookstores to fill in my reading needs or just take a walk outside with my lovely dog. [sub][s]On certain occassions, I do hardcore drugs[/s][/sub] I've been through a one-year RP hiatus only recently due to my job and how it absorbed a large sum of my time. My schedules have only calmed on a slight amount but I now have the time I need to roleplay. It's still quite limited though but not like before where I really don't have any time to spare. I value my RP partners to the point where I make it an obligation to inform them of my current real life situations. So whether I'm at my busiest peak at work or just plainly lost the motivation to continue, I'll make sure to let you know so that your time won't be affected by my actions.

More stuffs & thangs.

How long have I been roleplaying? About 4-6 years for all I can remember. Free/Casual/Advanced? What are my standards? I really don't think I'm in the right position to distinguish that for myself as what I discern about setting standards is that they can be a bit subjective at times. I let content speak for themselves and allow them to judge their pertinence towards a particular subject matter. Sure, one liners are dreadful but I forbade myself to tell others of how and what they should write. It's like adding a question about quantum physics to a personality survey. I also ignore these three categories. They don't mean anything to me, especially when differentiating "causal" and "advanced" as you see a three-paragraph post of the exact same thing with minor vocabulary differences. If role-plays are to be divided, then it should be labeled in the way of commitment. No one cares if your writing levels an English professor's as long as you're able to provide consistency with the participation you've given to the RP. Of course proper grammar and spelling are to be administered, but that's common sense to an activity that involves writing and they don't need to be mentioned over and over again. How often do I post a day? Depends on how I can manage my time. If I can't post on a particular day, I'd usually just leave a message to my partners. Third or first person? Third, but I did try first person before. I must honestly say that I wasn't entirely comfortable on using that approach. Genres I usually go with: Fandoms aside, it's any specific genre. However though, I really have an unquenchable set of cravings when it comes to Crime, Horror and Modern Fantasy. Ratings I'm comfortable with: Anything, as long as we can discuss how sexy/violent things are going to get before writing anything excessive. Characters I usually play: As stated recently, my characters are often extroverted and high-spirited socialites if not broody and rebellious loners. I normally play males since I'm a male myself but I do have some fair share of experiences playing female characters. I'm open to fill in that role if needed be.

Plots and ideas!

[sub]Yes of course, this is what you're here for. I bet you skipped the information above and directly went straight to this one. Don't deny it, I know what you're doing. I'm watching you.[/sub]
All of the things listed here are mostly fleshed out from my cravings. That being said, feel free to suggest your own but I cannot guarantee that I will consider all of them, given that I'm not able to easily adapt the settings/plots I'm largely unfamiliar of. Examples of which are fandoms. Though I sometimes expand my interest to that particular genre, I'm really not into it for the most part as I prefer exploring through original ideas. Still, it doesn't mean that you're not allowed to give in fandom ideas. Feel free to do so, but expect those to be declined as there's a big chance for me to say no, depending on how familiar I am with the fandom's setting/universe. Usually, I prefer Sherlock fandoms but I only do it rarely.

We meet again...
—Earlier in his career as a cop, he was known throughout the force to be one of the toughest and most upright individual who have been a part of the city's police department. He was well-respected by his fellow colleagues and was often praised for bringing down one of the worst people in the city. That was until his life spiraled downwards just after the death of his fiancee due to an incurable illness she severely suffered from. Later in his life, he became slowly involved with drugs and excessive drinking in order to alleviate his depression over the tragic loss. Turns out, it only made his situation worse as he showed no signs of withdrawal. He continued on until he was fired from his job after being drunk multiple times while at work. On a particular day - just months after being unemployed - he caused an unwanted commotion at a convenience store as he relentlessly fought with the people there, including the store's cashier. The turmoil quickly turned into a violent brawl and soon caught the attention of local authorities. Once the police arrived, he was immediately charged and arrested for public violence. As he was sent to prison, little did he know that he was going to share a cell with an inmate whom he had taken down before and was eagerly seeking revenge after all the things that were done to him.

You shouldn't have done that.
—A retired mob boss was living his life to the fullest after being released from a 30-year sentence. He tried to put his family back together along with his passions and most especially himself which were all destroyed from the recklessness of his decisions. One day, a journalist contacted him in an attempt to conduct a documentation of his story when he was still heavily involved in his previous life of crime. He agreed, but little did he know that the journalist's wife/husband was murdered by one of his men. Determined to avenge his/her loved one, the journalist threatened to blackmail the mob boss, using whatever it would take to get what the journalist wanted or put the mob boss' family in jeopardy if he won't agree to the journalist's terms.

Gangster paradise
—Big cities have always been breeding grounds for dangerous gangs no matter how authorities monitor the streets with police patrols. You're a former lawyer who have lost your job several months ago and is now trying to find another job with a decent salary to pay every bill you have and also the apartment you're starting to call as the devil's hideout. Your drug addicted brother just got out from rehab and he visits you one day, telling you that he needed a home for him to start a new life. You never trusted your brother before, after all the terrible things he did in the past, which include heavy drug use, joining violent gangs and etc. However, you're convinced enough after hearing your brother's story on how we wants to come clean and lead a life worth living...even though he already said that numerous of times. Still, he's your family and once a member needs a place to stay, you should acknowledge them no matter what. But is he really starting a new life? or is he running away from what he left behind? Where your apartment is located isn't actually on one of the safest neighborhood of city. It's not the most violent either but still, it's vulnerable from gangsters and anyone who might be out there looking for trouble. When a group of thugs suddenly broke into your apartment, you already know that there's something your brother is hiding. Something's wrong and as you try to force the truth out of him, he immediately confesses that he did something terrible to a number of people before and what he's trying to do is run away from them as he doesn't want to face the consequences. However, the part when he said he wants to start a clean life was true and despite how frustrated and angry you are at him, you really want to lead him to the right path and prevent him from ever going back to his previous life.

Should I be afraid?
—After winning free tickets, two lucky individuals were welcomed to become part of a haunted house's grand opening which was all going to happen at Halloween night. The haunted house was widely known for its extreme tactics of scaring people and leaving them all terrified after they've ventured inside. So in hindsight, it should undoubtedly be a great place for thrilling experiences and screaming on top of your lungs, yes? Well, it's not the case for these two individuals. While they took their tour inside, they've slowly found out that the haunted house was extremely boring rather than being scary. Most of the tactics were cheap tricks that didn't work well to stimulate either one of their fears. They soon started to feel uncomfortable and tired, leaving was the first thing they've both planned on doing. However, as they were going to consult the ones who've administered the tour, they were told that if they wanted to withdraw, they should wait until the entire tour ends along with the others. Unsatisfied on how the situation became, the two had no other choice but to endure the excruciatingly dull experience until it was all over. They've ran across each other on particular occurrences during the tour and talked about how the entire thing was a waste of their precious time. As they went on and blabbered about how similar they mostly felt, they surprisingly found out that both of them shared a lot of similarities, personality-wise and etc. On one exact moment, there was a part of the haunted house where the floorboards were cracked, and one of them stepped on it and nearly fell. If one of the two individuals haven't gave a helping hand, it would've been disastrous. However though, as they've pulled each other's hands, eyes suddenly met, and their gazes connected awkwardly. They suddenly felt something strong, as if their own fears have manifested the moment they held each other's arms.

Reunited
—Two childhood friends were going to spend a week at their hometown in [insert random US state here] to celebrate their achievements after earning their degrees in college and graduating together on the same year. A day after their arrival, they decided to go to an old abandoned house they've often visited back when they were little just to reminisce the moments they've spent there playing and hunting for ghosts. They remembered a jolly old lady who also visited the house along with them and told stories while they were there. Shortly after arriving at the abandoned house, they saw the old lady again and she looked the same as she was before.

This is not a prank call
Having an online business, you'd surely encounter some people who have a lot of time in their hands and spend it on doing prank calls. You and your partner got used to it now and just ignored whenever someone tried to initiate a prank call on your business hotline. On one particular evening, you received a phone call on your business hotline and surprisingly, it was a customer. You did your best to sound friendly and get what he wanted. You gave him all the necessary information he needed about the items available for purchasing. The customer finally selected what he wanted to purchase, but the thing was, he wanted to get the item himself instead of having it delivered to his address. You and your partner didn't entirely agree on that deal but the customer insisted and even offered an additional amount as he stated that he didn't want the item to be delivered by someone for the fear that his wife might get it first and it would ruin the surprise. Regardless, you and your partner eventually agreed and gave the address - your business' address - to the customer. After some time, nothing was heard of the customer. He didn't call back or even confirm if he got the correct address. As it was almost midnight - the time when you're supposed to close and stop answering the business hotline - there was one last phone call, but strangely, it wasn't coming from the business hotline as it was from your partner's cellphone. As you answered it, there was a deep, indistinct voice over the line, speaking without clarity and attempted to say something that sounded nearly impossible to understand. You and your partner immediately identified it as a prank call and just ignored it as usual. However, after ending the call, your business hotline rang. You answered, and again, it was the same deep and indistinct voice, but as it tried to speak, the words became clear. "I am going to kill you." The line ended abruptly and you and your partner suddenly heard loud thuds and knocking from downstairs of your apartment - also known as your business address.

Am I dead?
—You just died from an accident but did you truly die? You woke up at a random place, not able to feel anything and suddenly realized you're incorporeal. You tried to understand what was happening, but all you did was stare blankly as you tried to grasp on your current state. One thing for certain was that you were able to pass through solid objects and when you tried to interact with people, they just passed you by as if you were non-existent. Furious and confused, you plunged yourself towards a random person, hoping he/she would feel your presence. However as you did that attempt, something strange happened. You were able to feel again, to feel fully alive and kicking. You looked at your hands and touched something nearby and noticed that your fingers didn't pass through the solid object. You're not incorporeal anymore; you're back to being human. But something was amiss. You heard a voice inside your head, screaming and shouting at you saying: "Get the fuck out of here!" You tried to observe and see if you're just hearing things, but as the voice kept screaming and shouting, it became louder and more apparent to your senses. "Fuck off!" the voice said, then you realized that the voice was actually the consciousness of the person you've just plunged. You possessed him/her and you don't know how you can get yourself out, thus you and the person's consciousness are stuck together.

So much for saving the city...
—Two ex superheroes were living normal lives after one failed attempt on saving a person from the clutches of a murderous criminal. They tried to move on throughout the years, relieving themselves from what they've failed to do for the city. One day, both of them received a text message from an unidentified number, telling them that they should go back to business and free the city from its corrupted state. As it turned out, the person who sent them the text message was none other than the murderous criminal they've failed to capture and the victim who was killed have been alive the whole time, acting as his assistant. Later on, the criminal revealed that he wasn't actually a murderer and the crimes he did were all fake just to get the two superheroes' attention. He wasn't even a criminal from the start. The man proposed an allegiance and with his help, they could altogether save the city from criminal activities while monitoring their actions and providing them with missions. However, it wouldn't be easy to reunite the two as the man has a lot of explaining to do first.

WIP

What you need to know

While I don't have any standards nor expectations to begin with, I ask that it would be better if my partners are aged 18 or older.
Please do understand that I have a stressful job that will keep me from posting everyday. You don't need to worry though, I always inform my partners about my current situation in real life and make sure to leave you a message on what's happening so that things won't be left hanging.
Please do shy away from one-liners. I know I've stated before that I don't fuss over post lengths, but do always remind yourself that quality should be on top of quantity.
I enjoy writing romance and while the majority of my usual involvement are hetero pairings, I'm always open for MXM/FXF but be reminded that I'm somewhat terrible when it comes to that. Also, if you're asking me to play female roles, chances are that I might decline. Still, I can play them when I want to, just don't expect me to be anywhere good in that particular role. :D
Also with regards to writing romance, I don't really do smut and it's quite likely that I'll say no to suggested ideas/plot involving any of that matter. However, I'm willing to try new things and I might do smut someday, just not now.
I'm always open to new ideas, opinions and feedbacks, so if there's a problem that you see, please tell me so that we can fix whatever's wrong right away. Also, I don't tolerate erratic/offensive/immature behaviour, so if you're being ignored by me, you'll probably get the idea.

And that's about it!
[sub]Leave a post below or PM me if you're interested.
