Using detective work, traps and “divine” guidance. • Blacksmith 15 • Other: 45 Karma: • +100 Stats: • HP: 100 • MP: 25 • Phy. Atk: 100 • Phy. Def: 80 • Agility: 100 • Mag. Atk: 20 • Mag. Def: 100 • Resistance: Limit Exceed • Special Ability: 100 • Total: Limit Exceed (known skills (without the limit exceed) 625) Abilities and Powers: • Charlemagne, is a close range fighter for the most part. A mage killer in some people views with his high resistance and magic defense. He often rather learn about his target before taking any action against them. Over all his skills range in tactics, planning and helping a group. In one on one he is no push over either (having become an inquisitor he needed to travel alone a lot). He will use the battlefield to his advantage, and is often willing to sacrifice himself if need be. He has died fighting against entire guilds to protect cities from being raided for their items. He uses Ryora, his two handed broad sword (can be used as a one hander or a two hander) with pride of his old crusader days. And could careless about the numbers he has to fight. However, this depends on one variable. Malevolence. When possessed by Malevolence, the nearest target is going to be in for quite a surprise. As the use of the ax will occur without a second thought. As other have literally killed their friends, or cared for ones around them. The mind of malevolence is simple, as much pain as possible before they are killed, and build as much fear as needed to keep their “master” ready. Active and Passive Abilities (Optional): • Soul Count Down: No matter where Malevolence is, the violent visions will continually get worse till she's fed. Thanks to Charlemagne's amazing resistance (Limit Exceed) He has a much longer Count Down. However, it doesn't make the experience anymore pleasant. When the countdown hit's Zero he gets possessed by the weapon. • Aura Of the Betrayer (Passive): After Gaining the Achievement, Betrayer, His character gained the Aura of the Betrayer. Where a person would gain 2000 reputation for example he would get zero. In fact, some quests may make him fall into the negative. The aura comes from the ax, an eternal warning of what he has done. • Aura of the Crusader (Passive): Grants the people around him and himself a boost to undead based spells. Gives off a calming presence to NPCs. • Turn Evil: The ability to turn away undead in fear. • Exorcism (Tier 5) : Spirituality allows him to rip out possessed spirits from beings. It also can kill Undead and Demons. Over Rank Magics (Optional): • Mass Exorcism : The area of a battlefield is hit with a massive “attack” that purges all “evil” based creatures. Hitting them with a powerful exorcism that will kill them or attache stat degrading effects( A massive Stat debuff, lowering all stats to low levels.). It also tells the Inquisitor the location of the evil beings. This attack is rather potent against Heteromorphic Groups of Demons and Undead, but will hit anyone who is naturally Evil. Bonus Abilities (Optional, heteromorphic characters only): • Special Skills (Optional): • Divine Guidance: Summoning on the power of the “divines” he is able to track down his target on the map. Showing him the location of them. Main Equipment: • Malevolence (Divine) : The forging of this ax was part of a massive quest chain that was a one time event based. Though not many people were able to complete the quest as it had a variety of needs necessary for it. The weapon itself is somewhat of a curse. The Ax was forged by dragon's blood with runic curses along the blade. Said to make it into an almost unbreakable metal. For it's powers to be fully realized, the player had the kill an entire village. As the blade consumed their souls, it constantly whispers it's intent to it's owner. Generally in a form of some kind. The blade's “sex” in it's form was determined by the way it was made, and the properties it contained. Whenever the weapon kills something it traps and consumes the soul. Essentially making the ax quite a violent doom weapon. The ax is also bound to it's owner by a blood oath. Forever attached to their soul. (most of this was originally flavor text about the weapon) It is said, if the weapon isn't “fed” it will possess it's owner, and go hunting for it's own food. Represented in the game by loss of character for a few moments. The character going into a hunt and attacking npcs (or other players in pvp). • Armor Set of the Vigilant Crusader(Legendary) : A standard plate set that was needed for his former guild. Before their fall all the captains of the groups were commanded to have this armor. It increases mental resistances (brain washing) and resistance to undead spells and effects. However, when against holy spells it's probably better off just wearing nothing. The armor was often seen as useless because of this. Being it didn't give anything in bonus to anything other then against Undead and Demons. • Ryora (Legendary): His standard sword he uses when fighting against people in combat, in his former guild it was the graduation weapon you got. Made from the smiths in the guild. It's a two handed broadsword. Personality (Optional): • Background: Charlemagne had no real problem with playing on his own. For the most part he would just grind to get the levels materials or whatever it was that he would need. This, didn't last though. As it was a common thing he would often do in most of his MMO experiences he decided this time, to finally take a step and try to raise up the ranks of the a guild. And to take it to the next step, take part of an RP PVP guild. He felt whatever game it was that he would want to take in hand for it. It would have to be a big one with liberties. Which was why he managed to get his hands onto the game of YGGDRASIL. The World and more seemed to be perfect for the play style he was going to try to get himself into. He planned out his character, and build up his own profile on it. Keeping in up with his own choices. He jumped into the first RP PVP guild he found. “The Order of Sanctums Lost”. Quite the tongue full he thought at the time. Being a mere level one. But they accepted him as an soldier of arms. The Guild, TOSL (The Order of Sanctums Lost), was a crusade style guild. They were a “holy” order that believed in the protection of the non-evil races. They believed in upholding the defense and guardianship of all the Human, and to a lesser extent Demi-human races. From the twisted plague that was some of the Heteromorphic races. He didn't fully understand the logic. But he would play in character. A dutiful recruit wanting to climb up the ranks to further carry on their cause. He would find out the hard way, that the way to the top wasn't the easy way. And for the most part the climb was very very steep. His first mission would always mark him for his entire life of which in total only 2 missions would mark him this much. This being obviously the first one. Even though he was merely playing a character. He got his first official mission with a small squad. They were to infiltrate a Heteromorphic base. Mostly Undead and Demon types. Something that his character at least was more then willing to jump onto. They made up a whole story behind it, about them assaulting a near by village. Killing the villagers and turning them into mindless zombies that followed. It was a load of crap to just get into pvp. Of course it was still fun to rp out the trip their. Following his captain with his fellow acolytes they moved onto the camp. Ambushing them and assaulting them. Their was something wrong though, as they fought back he noticed how some of the players seemed to take this way to seriously, going as far as camping their corpses, and even blowing up corpses and calling in other guild members to camp the zones they may have to come back from. He watched as the one he was supposed to kill lay down before him. Her attacks were well placed but, he had focused a lot on having a rather high resistance when it came to it. And he knelt over her. As she sent him a message. Telling him to please let her go, this was the 9th time this week this happened. He remained silent and killed her. In order to not look good in front of his commander. But his non-rp side felt annoyed at this. Sending her money in game money and an apology about what had happen. Explaining he didn't expect her to feel better from it. And made to make sure she never had to worry about equipment cost or resurrection cost for at least awhile. The money he gave was more then enough. If it was real life, he character would have probably died of starvation as it was his entire in-game salary for awhile. But he didn't mind. He didn't see it as right, to hunt down a group over and over again. His climb was slow but eventually he became a captain. Gaining armor, a sword and even titles to go with his name. Though of course most was just flavor text, he did get his favorite sword from this achievement. A blade he would work to make more powerful as he climbed up in levels so that he'd never have to throw it away. Forever a memory of his past, and the deeds he had to do both for and behind the scenes. His character was feared, RP wise he was rather zealous, and a minor Xenophobic of any race that wasn't human. However, he wasn't that way when he wasn't in character. Often, fighting other guilds to protect those in trouble. He wasn't always rping obviously. And he didn't realize this was a rule.. The Rising Darkness event occurred as a one time event for Halloween. It was a massive quest chain that ended in getting a divine weapon. It was only open for certain classes, and for the most part needed the “handle of cursed burnt remains”. A rather obnoxious title to say the least. Regardless this began a quest, that would bring you to a village that was available for this event. You could come here even without the quest at the time, as they would have a rather wide range of items for sale for just about everyone under the sun. The quest would then begin to shift to helping this village building up reputation with them. Doing meaningless tasks, like gathering things, killing certain creatures. All as the quests seemed to be given by two different quests givers. One that gave the quests being the town elder, the other was a mystic man. Draped in rugged black robes, and a hood that covered his face. He was old from this textures on his flesh but overall, the character seemed to be monotone and at times would shift about. Indeed a Shady character. Fitting for a Halloween event. At the coming of the maximum trust with the village. An event would trigger. A massive dragon would come down from the sky. Causing the ground to shake with each pound of it's massive wings. It's roar vibrating the building and shattering windows. It was rather intense. Leading to you having to beat the dragon with the villagers. After the beating of this dragon, you are looked as a hero of the village. And given an heirloom from the village. A marker of one of their heroes. This would now trigger the dark side of the quest. Something most people didn't seem to bother doing. But he couldn't help himself, he was a rather curious fellow when it came to story lines and he wanted to see this one threw. Walking to the hooded figure with the weapon of your choosing (that you managed to get from the last quest for that chain) would begin the quest chain named “Malevolence”. Almost as haunting as the name the deeds needed would come from a variety of living and dead things. Needing to gathering up, blood of 100 dragons, and using the tainted blood of a succubus and demon to taint the holy weapon in your hand. Doing this bound the weapon to only you. No one else would be able to use the weapon besides yourself. Then, having it reforged in the necrotic tomb of corruption. Lots of cheesy names, that was what he would constantly think while doing the quest. The ending though, this got to him. He did it to see the end, but had no idea of what would occur. The Ax finished it was a demonic looking weapon. Nothing like the holy weapon it once looked like, but in order to finish the deed, it needed the blood of 500 people who trust you outright. It needed their souls. At first he figured it could just be anything. Trying it on things it did nothing, then after awhile he noticed a count down timer in the side of his screen. Not thinking much of it, he finished some dailies and started to notice a girl in the distance moving closer. And whispers in his headset. All scripted obviously, as this was all part of his story chain but it was still creepy none the less. The girl would eventually appear on and off near him. Often grasping at him to take his arm or hand. Her face was bleeding from all openings. Eyes, nose, mouth ears. Her flesh pale and her body would twitch viciously as an eerie death gargle could be heard replaced with a lower echoed growl....he couldn't take it anymore at one point and went to the town where the old man was. Noticing he wasn't their. And for some reason all the denizens around were red. The girl would appear beside them, the people as they looked at his character. Almost disgustedly, the village elder coming up to him and demanding to know what he did and suddenly he lost control of his character. His count down timer, had reached zero. And he began killing everyone in the village. One by one they fell, the laughing of the girl could be heard as his character swung and killed everything around him. The counter climbing up to the needed 500 fast. If he had known...he probably wouldn't have gone this far either. All the humans were butchered. Anything alive, cats, dogs, children, deer the random talking door. After the frenzy was done, he was given a rather interesting achievement, “The Betrayer”. His reputation of all his locations dropped into the negatives. Ranging from towns to any npc group. Though he knew, to be honest he didn't need the towns. Not if he wanted to repair and such. All the players could do that. And he was part of a guild. When he returned to his guild he was removed from it. Stating in RP, that the mass slaughter of innocent people wasn't right. And the Order would not stand by it. For the most part they should have executed him. But they felt banishing would be the best action. For the world outside would be far worse then the world inside. Of course the guild member out of character told him to leave as he betrayed the entire guild. And he should kill himself all that childish insults. However, he found it ironic they would preach about slaughtering innocent people. While hunting down and killing Heteromorphic for fun. Yah, that made sense, but it's how it went when it came to these things. Once more he was put out onto his own. Not letter this get to him, he set out with his gear and walked threw the game itself. Still keeping in character, but adding the events that past into his profile. For awhile, he thought he was actually alone. Protecting what he could with his sword. His ax merely a weapon only for the worse of cases. As nothing in his collection could even come close to it's power. The counter however, decided to remind him of the event that took him from his guild. They made him kill 500 npcs that trusted him. Yes...it came back. The girl moving about randomly at a distance as she watched from the bushes, the trees. From in distance buildings. Slowly coming closer and getting more grotesque with each movement. Twitching violently. Reaching out to him, and whispering to him to use his ax. He wasn't about to let this happen again, that fear like tactic he'd seen before. Losing control of your character for like 2 minutes? That was just annoying. But he couldn't bring it upon himself to just delete the weapon. It too, held it's place in his story. On the last day, of trying to kill something to make the ax work he stumbled upon a group of Heteromorphic walking down the animal pass. It was obvious they were in a party. They were also all lower leveled players. They seemed to be having fun. He merely just watched. He wasn't going to kill them for no reason, though...if he had to he may have to sacrifice one of them, and then help pay for their resurrection...that was before he noticed a group of human and demi human races jump out of bush. An ambush on these low levels? They were all high level too. Pathetic. His character had been laying down staring at the sky this whole time. Looking between the leaves of the deciduous trees. But this wasn't going to pass on his watch. He pressed a button to have his character get up rp style and began to walk towards the fight. Fight they did. They tried to hold off the assault but at this level they stood no chance. Being pushed back. Their females falling first to the ground. Not yet killed merely stunned as some of the guys did the general kiddish victory dance over them. They were the first to be cut down. His ax sung threw the air, it's mere swing seeming to give off a dark and twisted howl. As it eviscerated threw armor and flesh, causing them to fall to the ground. They were dead, all of them had been killed, next up was the last 6 of the group. He wouldn't have the benefit of a ambush attack like they did now. They turned to see him, it had been sometime since he pvped. But he didn't care, he turned the ax in his hand as his blond hair flashed back and a twisted grin seemed to be painted on his characters face. Perfect it matched the one on his own face in real life as they charged to one other. The zone erupted into combat as a 100 fought against clearly people who had never fought anything other then low levels. They were around 90-100 themselves. But they didn't know how to deal with him. The mage fired off a spell to debuff him only to see it do no damage...not only that he barely even flinched as he took on their paladin. The ax seeming to induce a fear aura, dropping their characters hit chance and added in a erode armor stack on anything he hit. He chuckled to himself at this ax's seemingly twisted power. The fight lasted for a bit. Even though they didn't fight against another pvp in serious pvp before their was still 6 of them, and one mistake would get him killed. Defeating the purpose of saving the Heteromorphic around him. On the reach of the last one. He had his character use a grab command. Picking the knight off his feet. And he crushed the knights neck. Throwing it aside before having his character (for rp purposes) fall to his butt. The other Heteromorphic seemed to run up to him, thanking him. Obviously they weren't role players. So he didn't really reply as he would normal. With uncertainty and such as would come from his character. But with an honest no problem. They talked to him about a guild called Seekers, a protection guild for them. A sort of safe haven. And if he wanted, he could come with them. They would even pay him to follow and protect them from being attacked. He brushed it off. Saying they didn't need to pay him anything. Just he couldn't follow them into cities or near them because he would get attacked by the guards. The very things built into the game to protect anyone who broke the law. They merely laughed and introduced themselves. One, of the females were very happy. Adding him as a friend and more. He merely complied it was good to have made friends again. For the most part, joining the Seekers wasn't as he thought it would be. It wasn't easy to get in for one. The heteromorphics of the group didn't trust him. Rightly so as he still wore the colours of his old guild. But, his reputation of being basically an amazing pvper and having participated in tournaments would seem to let him in. Though at a very low spectrum of the guild. Listening to orders from those higher then him. (Which essentially was everyone) Trivia: • Beware Malevolence. She will attack and torture anyone, without a second thought. After she is sated, Charlemagne will gain back his body. • Destroying Malevolence will possibly lead to side effects to the soul it's bound to (Charlemagne in this case).
