[@21308] I'm just going to assume the talking green bird was some sort of Amazon, solely because they're one of the two best talkers (The other being African Grays, which, obviously, are gray and not green). And it depends on the toucan as well. Aracaris and toucanets tend to like touch more than large toucans since they're flock birds, and if it were imported from the wild rather than bred or or even if it simply wasn't tame it might've not been a good idea. Toucans' bits don't hurt but the larger ones can hit and jab with their beak rather well, so that might've been it. It seems strange but maybe it was a preventative meassure?
