Cyclone, with this encounter, don't be afraid of potentially killing Torrens. If he dies, it serves him (and me) right for charging in there like a fool. And he can easily be reanimated by just setting his remains on fire, so it need not be permanent.
That said, don't go out of your way to kill him either. I'm just letting you know that it's fine if the orcs turn out to be too much for him.
