Splice: Eagle

Abilities: When he needs them beautiful eagle's wings unfold from Thomas' back letting him fly. When he needs a boost in his eyesight Thomas' eye will turn yellow while he uses the vision of an Eagle. Avian Splices are some of the most complicated as humans were never meant to be able to fly. While Thomas may look almost completely human on the outside almost his entire physiology has been reworked to let him achieve liftoff.

His bones are lightweight and hollow resembling a honeycomb, it is a design that allows for a light weight and strength but makes the bones easily breakable. Thomas has a gizzard instead of a stomach which allows him to process food quickly so that he is not weighted down by the food, this also means that he eats a lot. This means that he can swallow food whole though he still has teeth which are built similar to his bones. When in public he uses them but if no one it looking Thomas is happy enough to swallow his food in a single bite. His muscles are strong to allow his to flap with enough force to lift him off the ground. His lungs are flat and pressed against his rib cage making them smaller and lightweight, they can't hold a lot of oxygen and so he has a number of air sacs in his chest that store oxygen. This means that he can become easily out of breath.

Personality: Thomas laid back and easy to talk to. He understands life a lot more than most people his age and quite a bit more than someone of his status should about the Filthy/Golden situation. Despite this he cares deeply what his parents thing of him.

History: Thomas is the son of two wealthy merchants in the lower end of one of the main cities of the Golden. His mother and father are both Avian splices as dating outside your splice is while not strictly illegal frowned upon by the community because parents of different splices are much more likely to produce a Filthy Child. His was surprisingly unremarkable until one day when walking home from his father's warehouse he caught sight of a girl with startling red hair and astonishing green eyes. The tips of her hair were much lighter than the red of her hair, more an orange than red and Thomas guessed that she must be some sort of fox or dog splice. Despite this knowledge Thomas fell in love in that moment. Like a perfect fairy tale she disappeared into an alley and he couldn't find her. Thomas spent the next month scowering the city for this mysterious red haired girl that he'd only glimpsed for a moment. Finally a contact of her father's found her, her name was Christina Baker and she lived eight blocks from the Halligan apartment. Thomas knocked on her door and asked her out and they've been together ever since.[/hider]
