It is partly because she could tell Kiiros saw her and knew they would be (to her knowledge) unspottable by others, alowing for them to talk without interruption for the moment. Talking to Wes and Jen may have been better, but she would seldom get the chance for a private conversation with Kiiros outside of this instance.
