The Army of the Nexus Organization + lots of characters
Organization Sheet [-] Name: Army of the Nexus Universe of Origin: Multiversal, originally from the Nexus multiverse convergence. Objectives: Mixed, but primarily the defeat of the Reign of Chaos. Other objectives depend on individual leaders of the various groups. Members: Likely heavily affiliated with the Resistance. Protoss: Highlord Alarak of the Tal'Darim, (agreed upon leader) Protoss: Hierarch Artanis of the Dalaam Protoss, plus Khalai, Nerazim, and Purifiers, with their respective characters. (Limited strength since the Golden Armada's defeat against the Reign of Chaos) Terrans: Commander James Raynor, commanding Terran Dominion forces. Grand Alliance: Multiple races, Nexus forces under the command of Jaina Proudmoore and supported by Muradin Bronzebeard and Falstad Wildhammer of the Dwarves, and Tyrande Whisperwind of the Night Elves, plus other supporting characters. Horde: Multiple Races, not answering to a unified leader before Highlord Alarak. Includes the Lich King with the Undead Scourge, Sylvanas Windrunner with the Foresaken, and Thrall with the Orcish Horde. Forces of the High Heavens: Led by the Angiras Council of Imperius, Tyrael, Auriel, Malthael, and Itherael. Supported by the five Nephalem. Capabilities: Each of the factions of the Nexus has sometimes widely differing abilities. The Protoss and Terrans from the Koprulu use technology and psionic powered abilities, including Protoss Warp technology and the Terran Ghost Program. They are arguably the most powerful members of the Army of the Nexus, however some of their forces are absent or weakened by previous clashes with the Reign of Chaos or the need to defend their territory. The bulk of the Dalaam's Golden Armada in particular has been destroyed, and is largely reduced to the forces assigned to the Spear of Adun and the Purifier command ship Cybros. Highlord Alarak managed to keep his Death Fleet out of the way of the Reign of Chaos, and kept it intact. The Dominion forces assigned to the Army of the Nexus are a small fraction of total Dominion strength, the vast majority having gone turtle in the defense of Korhal. This is however, something that Commander Raynor is used to dealing with from his guerrilla war against the Dominion. The Grand Alliance and the Horde both use more primitive, ground and atmospheric based technology, however their magical powers equal and sometimes far exceed the psionic powers of the Protoss. Equipped with Terran or Protoss variants of their typical equipment, and supported by their mages, they represent almost half of the AoN's ground power. The Angiris Council and their angels represent a unique asset for the AoN, possessing great divine powers, however this power being channeled into their weapons and very essence. They are powerful fighters who can do battle anywhere, even in the vacuum of space, and are perhaps the best infantry...for their weapons and manner of fighting is in fact infantry in nature, if they do possess the capabilities of airborne craft...in the AoN. However, they are limited in sheer firepower and durability, and require support from the rest of the AoN to fight a reasonably prepared enemy to full effect. Their primary role is that of a fast attack/response force, meant for dashing in and out with truly devastating effect, and their maneuverability is even further enhanced when combined with the Protoss warp capabilities. The Raven Lord of Raven Court in the Nexus brings with him some further undefined powers, however it is known that he can disrupt some technologies, is a master of summoning, and can reduce the capabilities of armor to nil for a time. He also has an inferiority complex, and may be inclined to ignore orders if he feels like it. Artanis and the Dalaam stood against them, however the Reign of Chaos attacked quickly and in full force...the Golden Armada was hit by surprise by overwhelming forces. The battle took place over Braxis...the result was a broken fleet. Only a few dozen of the hundreds of ships that made up the armada managed to warp to safety. Yet rather than cement their victory, the Reign of Chaos forces then struck deep into Swarm space. The Zerg were far more prepared...they descended upon the Reign of Chaos in their thousands. They were defeated in the end...the Reign of Chaos matched their numbers with its own, however the training given the Zerg Queen Zagara by the Queen of Blades allowed her to inflict huge wounds in the Reign of Chaos force. These, combined with the damage from the Protoss fleet, brought the Reign of Chaos down to nearly a third of their original numbers. Yet the greatest forces of the Koprulu Sector had been largely subdued. Chaos forces struck many Terran worlds as they retreated, and forced the Dominion fleet to fall back to defend Korhal. While the Protoss were still a power to be reckoned with, Chaos attacks kept them on the defensive and unable to mount a significant counter offensive, with no target to attack. The Tal'darim stayed away from the invaders, keeping their fleets intact. Eventually, Hierarch Artanis took the Spear of Adun and its accompanying fleet to the Nexus, to rebuild his forces in the alternate dimension while leaving only the bare minimum to defend Aiur. The Chaos force did not seem inclined to exploit the weakness. James Raynor, reappearing from a long absence, took a force of Dominion Forces to the Nexus to coordinate with Artanis. Sarah Kerrigan, now ascended to Xel-Naga, was the last force in the Koprulu Sector for the Chaos forces to deal with. She attacked them where they lived, traveling through the multiverse to attack their forces...yet she was only one, and was overwhelmed and imprisoned within the Void. On Azeroth, the enemy was a newly strengthened Burning Legion. They overran Lorderan, and besieged Kalimdor. The Horde and Alliance remained secure, however they were heavily engaged and unable to do more than defend themselves. Many of the heroes of Azeroth traveled to the Nexus to try and find a way to free themselves of this siege. On Sanctuary, the High Heavens and realm of Mortals was attacked by a vast force of enemies they knew nothing of how to deal with. Starships were brought down by the armies of angels, however the Angiris Council quickly recoiled from the quickly losing fight, and moved the entirety of the High Heavens to the Nexus, abandoning Sanctuary to the Burning Hells. The Nephalem were in the Heavens at the time, and also traveled to the Nexus. Highlord Alarak, leader of the last remaining undefeated force of all the realms of the Nexus, took his fleet and traveled to the Nexus, there to unite the factions under his command against the Reign of Chaos. The other leaders were initially resistant to unification and his leadership, however his qualifications of leading a faction that was alike in culture to the Reign of Chaos and rising to lead it, and his command of the most powerful force among them, and his ability to command all their strengths for the purpose of a common goal...albeit with many varying reasons to see that goal achieved, ranging from the release of their worlds to the conquering of new realms in the wake of the Reign of Chaos...eventually put him as Commander of the Army of the Nexus. Universe Sheet [-] Name: Nexus Scale: Multiverse maelstrom Setting: Highly varied, and killing things. History: Long, can be provided upon request, would prefer to not to though. Currently not included because I'm in a hurry. Power Scaling: Very little. All magics, divine powers, and psionics are compatible with each other. All sources of power that are unavailable are...well...unavailable. The Raven Lord's power is limited to only what he has shown possible...namely, summoning minions from structures he has infused with his power, and disrupting material composition so that it either provides no defense, or does not survive being shot from a cannon. Protoss Warp Network limited to only what they construct, or what is provided by their ships and the Spear of Adun.
