Name: Llewelyn Rosenfeld Nicknames/Titles: Most refer to him simply as "Mr. Rosenfeld" professionally. Age:35 Gender/Sex:Male Birthday: August 16th Occupation: Historian (Artifact Hunter) Where they live: Wanderer, although born in Snapdragon and schooled in Edelweiss. Species: Human Bio: Born in the fields of Snapdragon, it could be said Llewelyn had an average childhood. His parents made ends meet as cattle ranchers, a fairly profitable living. Profitable enough to supply the books their son craved after his day of tending the herds. He read voraciously, not the pleasures of fiction and prose, but knowledge. Like many of his countrymen, he took pride in the history of his nation, and eventually the history of all nations consumed him. By the time he had reached maturity, his parents already knew he wouldn't be taking over their business. Rather than forcing him from what he loved, they supported his move out of the country, to the universities of Edelweiss to further his education. He would always be thankful to them for that. However, he found after years of working hard in the outdoors, a life dedicated to research was not suited for him. Long weeks inside made him stir crazy, and he had hardly begun working on his degree when he decided a job out in the field, uncovering knowledge rather than learning about it, was what he was better suited for. He spent his days diligently working towards his degree, while his evenings were spent away from the university, working. A blacksmith he had met at one of the many pubs dotting the city had offered him a referal to an instructor of sworsmanship if Llewelyn agreed to help at the shop every now and then. It was like this that he spent his young adulthood. Training his mind and body for a life on the road, hunting for lost knowledge. He started first in his own homeland of Snapdragon, hunting for old battlefields. It was his discovery, and subsequent book about, the remains of an old Snapdragon Duke, whose death at the battlefield had been covered up by his family for generations that propelled him to fame. However, he quickly learned that while he had become well known, history books didn't sell too well amongst the general public, and he was constantly poor. So soon he began taking offers on the side. Some would call it graverobbing, he had no reservations about it however. The dead, in his opinion, had no need for valuables. A family crest here, a rusted sword there, "artifacts" were worth quite a bit to collectors. He found Vampires tended to be his biggest customers, perhaps because of their affiliation with death. Currently he was in-between jobs, working on what he called his "Magnum Opus", a complete detailed account of lost history between the four nations. He always carried his large journal in a pouch around his hip, where he could write down new information at any time he needed to. Personality: Unless taking about work, which admittedly he can steer a coversation towards annoying often, Llewelyn is fairly laid back. He enjoys a good drink at the pub, and a good roll of the dice, but otherwise stays pretty free of vice. Years of life on the road have tought him to be hard during conflict though, and the mirth disappears in an argument or fight. This hardness, however, is more facade than fact. Overall, he's a fairly pragmatic individual. He would prefer not to be in a fight, but shoots to kill if forced to. He has no qualms about looting the dead, or making money through less than legal means as long as no one is harmed in the act. Despite this, he refuses to lie unless seen as absolutely neccesary to get by, this is especially true for the books he writes. Likes: Reading, working in the outdoors, the smell of soot, his reputation, and a good drink. Dislikes: Long periods indoors, political happenings, children, conflict. Talents/Hobbies: An outstanding memory, writing, swordsmanship, blacksmithing (Including blades, and refilling ammo. However not gunsmithing in any shape). Alignment: Neutral Combat Magic Type: Nada. Fighting Style: Oddly, while trained as a swordsman, and most skilled in that art, Llewelyn prefers to use his shotgun in a fight. Primarily for practical reasons: In the modern age many people were armed with guns anyway, and even if not, a swordfight is hard to escape without injury. Let alone a knife fight if it came to that. Weapon(s): A hunting shotgun from the border of Snapdragon, while mostly used to hunt game while on the road, Llewelyn has found much success with dispatching would-be robbers as well. A bastard sword that clearly shows Edelweiss craftsmanship. Llewelyn forged it himself in his last days as a blacksmith apprentice. While perhaps inferior in design to a rapier, Llewelyn was a large man, and preferred the option to put the weight of both his arms behind a swing if need be. A nondescript Bowie knife for desperate situations, or for using as a tool on the road. Weaknesses: His pragmatism and days of being poor have given money a little too much influence on his decision making. He begins to suffer if indoors for too many days, if such a situation would arise in the RP this would affect his fighting drastically. His hardness during conflicts can very well escalate a situation that could be diffused with a softer voice. Strengths: His time spent all over the world learning has given him an excellent grasp over the cultures and peoples across Genesis. As such, he can usually get along with the residents of any town, even including the Vampires due to his history of working with them. His age and experience also mean he's a cut above most in a serious fight, his pragmatism making otherwise hard decisions easier.
