[@DestinyStar] The guardians come into play on the multiplayer maps where the ground allows you to leave.  A lot of them just have an impossible fall surrounding the battle space.  If there's land to use to leave... look around for big guns.  If there are, they will turn and blast you.  If there aren't, then there's probably overpowered mines.  I tried to use a ghost, and then a mongoose, to get as far as I could.  They're the fastest vehicles in the game.  I got a little ways... then my corpse bounced pretty good... for awhile.
